Didn't have the furniture equipment i requested days ago in stock (furniture dolly)â€¦. Causing me to have to purchase one that i won't use againâ€¦ the store should buy the one i bought off me. The manager explained it was a first come first serve rentalâ€¦ i didn't see it on the website (i could be wrong). One of the associates was nice enough to extend my hours for use. The truck needed air in one of the tiresâ€¦. And it might need new struts too. I have no issues with the employees but it was unfortunate i had to spend more money on equipment with another businessman than the rental and use of the truck. I would have used another rental company if i knew my request wouldn't be fulfilled.Sean W.
If I remember correctly, I gave an approximate pick up time. So I am assuming everyone else that made reservations did the same thing. When I arrived at 9:00 AM, there was a line of 12 to 15 in queue and only 2 and sometimes 1 person checking us in. I personally stood in line for more than 45 minutes to check in and the line was longer when I left. If check-in times are defined, then there should be a good idea of how many customers are going to b showing up at a specific time of day, and then staff appropriately.Van F.

The line indoors was very very long. But I was lucky that, amidst my signing up, I did mobile pick up. Otherwise my reservation number/ pick up time wouldve been hours later. Might be better to hire another 2 people to consult with customers ij line, prior to the main consultation, possibly to get them fully prepared just to collect the car. I couldn't even get out of my Uber before a sea of men swarmed the car offering their day labor services. Then once out the car, they incessantly followed me around offering "help" despite my insistence that I did not need it. I also had an extremely hard time getting the key to turn in the ignition several times. I know have a welt on my finger from having to twist and turn the key sufficiently to get the truck to turn on. This was beyond acceptable. What if I did not have such strong motor skills to do so? Also, to receive an attitude from a store associate when I expressed needing help with the key was unacceptable.Qubilah H.

There is an older Black woman who works at this location who is a complete and total BITCH! The rest of the staff, I encountered, was terrific! She gave me a hard time after I dropped off the trailer. I had pulled into a parking space to get my bearings before I left and she harassed me then. When I pulled back in to the lot, later in the day, and was motioning to my son about where to pull in the 10' truck, she was all over me again. This BITCH should not be anywhere near customer service!!! Call me if you want the details! The gentleman who served me both times, who actually did the work, was PHENOMENAL, polite, efficient, etc. She is UNNECESSARILY CONFRONTATIONAL and should find employment that better suits her sensibilities. She should be a security guard somewhere. That way, she could use her talents to their fullestâ€¦ keeping unwanted people away!! I hope to hear from the location manager! Our rental had some type of exhaust leak. I called and was told my hold time was over an hour. So I went online and spoke with a customer service rep named Megan via Chat to inform her of the issue. She stated someone from roadside would call me and I have not heard back from ANYONE. We dropped the vehicle off but still nothing from UHAUL.Arthur B.

You never have hand truck dollies available. It's so absurd. We can't move without them. And you never have them available. Also, I've moved 3 times in the past 6 years, including yesterday, and you always give the option for mobile pickup. IT NEVER WORKS and we always end up waiting an hour in line for in-person pickup. It's AWFUL. Get a software that works and stop over promising.Merrill C.

I reserved a van in Falls Church, VA, but was told it was only available in Takoma, MD. I had to spend two hours on public transportation to get from my house to the new rental location. I had to drive from one side of Washington, DC to the other, paying for gas and using allotted miles. This is a horrible business practice.Matthew J.

It was my first time renting a uhaul and the process was very simple and quick.Edilawit R.
Main complaint was that the facility was extremely understaffed. there was one person - who valiantly tried to check everyone in - and two guys that checked in returning vehicles, whose job was not to assist the woman checking in the vehicles. Strangely, when I went to return the vehicle (and it was less crowded) the two men could not help me, but the woman at check in was able to help. She deserves five stars. The rest of the experience one - I did rent a vehicle and it worked. But the management needs to look at the staffing issue and the attitude of some of the staff (not the woman at the counter, who was a real customer service star).Elizabeth M.

From the first interaction I wanted to cancel my reservation and go elsewhere but decided against it. The lady at the front desk and the manager who sat beside her could use some custom service training. The way she spoke wasn't pleasant and for a manager to allow this was appalling. Then as we open up the moving van we see a couple of roaches. I would not recommend this facility and will tell everyone I know that's moving soon to go elsewhere. I'm glad I no longer live near this place and have to utilize this service.Crystal D.
The Manager/owner appeared annoyed and irritated, spoke rudely to his staff and did not explain return policy to us. When returning the vehicle the mechanics were rude and disrespectful of black people but were quick to take care of the white people and very polite to them. If this owner and his family of misfits does not like the black community I'm here to let our community know NOT to take our business needs there!!! The level of disrespect was unimaginable and I will NOT give them my business ever again.Luiwen G.

Overall, I had an okay experience with renting a truck and picking it up and dropping it off at this location. A couple of things made me give it a rate of 3/5 stars, however. 1) I had reserved online an utility dolly, but when I came to pick it up they didn't have it available and only had the appliance dolly which was more expensive and I didn't need it. 2) I had a really hard time starting the truck every time. I even had my friend help me and there didn't seem to be a consistent way the truck would start by turning the wheel and doing the things you are supposed to do (pressing the break and parking break together, etc.). It took me 2-3 minutes to start the truck every time.Victor H.
