I'll preface this by saying we normally use the Midland Ave location in Saddle Brook and have never had an issue and we are always in and out with our rental in under 5 mins. The day of this rental, only Rt 46 had the truck we needed, we arrived for our rental we spent 30 mins in the location before given the keys. There was an endless process of scanning my drivers license and the employee on the phone and not handling checking us out. 30 mins, when we had movers at our house waiting, in the midst of moving, this was the last thing we needed. We were given the keys to our truck, when we went out to find it, it was in the middle of three rows of trucks and to the back. We would've had to maneuver past 4 trucks on both sides just to pull out. I was not taking that risk. We had to wait AGAIN, for someone to pull it out for us. Why would that even be an option for us to drive through trucks that are on top of each other? As soon as we got on the highway and made a U-turn, not even a full mile later, the gas alarm was beeping, less than a quarter of a tank of gas. Our trip was to be under ten miles round trip, but what if it wasn't? Or there was traffic? Just completely unacceptable. If the employees were somewhat sincere or apologetic, this review might have read differently but they honestly didn't care or show any empathy. The only person that was pleasant, was the man who moved the truck out for us.

It took 30 minutes for me to get my vehicle. If the people at the desk don't do anything and everything has to be done online, why do you even have people at the desk? Pick up was obnoxiously painful. I will never rent a uhaul ever again.

Waited two hrs for them to find me in your computer. The woman didn't seem to know what she was doing. She waited for someone to come back to her instead of calling someone. Place was clean. Truck was very clean and drove fantastic from Florida to Lodi. If I need a truck again I will get in touch with you. Gracias

The tank was returned with 3/8 of fuel, 1/8 less than a what we needed so this was an error in reading what we needed to submit on our part. However we were then charged $50 for what should have been only 1/8 of a tank - this should have been closer to $20 max. There was noone there who could help us with this and after all the fuel we spent ($110 to fill the tank each time) this is robbery and not ethical. This overcharge was ridiculous and has left us with a very bad taste on Uhaul. we would like a refund of $30 for the extra fuel that we were overcharged

It took 30 mins to get the attendant to assist the next customer. She refused to help she insisted I do everything on the app and was very hesitant to help. Wasn't friendly at all and had a personal phone call while assisting a customer.

To make sure every truck have gas. Today I rented a truck and the gas tank was empty, I put gas to the truck with my own money and I didn't get money back and is not my job to fill the tank when someone leave empty. Personal opinión the stuff should check the truck better and make sure gas tank is fill to a proper level.

I have complained many times. Online checkout took almost an jour. Local staff did not help. Mileage incorrect, fuel incorrect, vehicle damaged, tire pressure extremely low - vehicle not maintained, mileage in amounts 100 miles too high, charged me for fuel when as I stated before the fuel out amount was incorrect, overcharged me. When Mustafa managed this location, it was great. Now - it is awful.

I dropped off my rental, TM 3614, at 12:47pm on Tuesday, July 19th. I was told that I can leave the vehicle with them and they will complete the return checklist because they were returning one vehicle and moving others through the lane. An EZ-Pass and pair or Sony over-the-ear headphones were left in the vehicle. I returned for the EZ-Pass around 3:31pm on the same day, which was put aside during cleaning, but there was no mention of the headphones. I remembered about the headphones on Friday, July 22nd, the staff said they saw the headphones, but they were not put aside. I can only assume they were taken or thrown out.

Truck was not available for my schedule time. Worst experience ever! Went to location and they had no truck for me. Mind you I made a reservation a week ahead! So unprofessional. Then they booked another location for me to go pick up. Everyone knows a move is stressful to being with let alone the truck you rent not being available and have to go out of your way to pick up and drop off! Disgusted!!!!

My name is John Monroy,I rent frequently trailer s form the north Jersey and central jersey areas,, Saddle Brook Nj on rt 46 east is a great location for me , lately there is new staff in the store,but I'm having issues with one of your representative,she is extremely rude ,and bad attitude,I reported her to the maneger. Yesterday i rented a 6x12 inclose trailer the pick up was excellent July 11 ,for 24 hours ,I return the trailer the same day around 9:30 pm before the 24 hour period. Well this morning around 11:00 am on July 12 the same representative call me looking for the trailer, wen I'm returning the trailer,I told her if she is doing her job ,the trailer should have been check inn return first thing in the Am ,not bothering the customers looking for equipment returned, specifically wen it is parked in front of the front door ,there is no excuses for this type of unprofessional behavior because someone is not doing their Jobs.thank you John Monroy 908 4583543

There were a plethora of issues. First, the facility was grossly understaffed; when I arrived there were three employees attempting to do the work of six. The manager who vacillated between showing patrons their vehicles, going through inspections, &/or working behind the counter. Then, there was another employee who worked solely behind the counter. She appeared to be over it/done/feed-up. The last employee, like the manager, waffled between working outside & working behind the counter. The individuals that were present during my initial visit to pick-up the vehicle were overwhelmed which lead to them being disinterested, nonchalant, & checked-out. When I returned the vehicle, staffing was even worse - there were two employees, one behind the counter & one outside. These two were much more friendly, courteous, & professional. Yet, as one would presume, they were completely & utterly over-worked! For example, the person behind the counter was directing one customer, on the phone trying to assist another who was referred to their facility by the Passaic facility b/c he was told that they had an automated trolley which they didn't, & trying to assist another customer simultaneously. Outside, one rep was running from helping to screen a vehicle, assist a customer to load a dolly, & come indoors to assist behind the counter. The vehicle was in need of repair. The molding on the driver side door kept coming off the track, the seats had multiple stains, the body of the vehicle had moderate to severe damage. There wasn't enough parking & the ability to maneuver the vehicle out safely & onto the highway was vastly difficult. If not for oncoming drivers being gracious, I would've been involved in an accident.

UHaul has an excellent website for ordering equipment. UHaul also has a great team physically in place at the locations. My one suggestion would be to have the employees who are in the location assist customers with their online orders and not ask the customers to complete the transaction on their phones. On-site employees are terrific - do not ask them to be an extension of UHaul's website. ¡Gracias!

In regards to the storage unit when I first tried to have people in the store help me they were unable to. When I went online I booked a 2nd floor Room and still managed to get on the 3rd floor! And it is a little ridiculous that floor 2 and 3 have to first go up stairs when I asked for help they say their is a ramp but the ramp starts on the 2nd floor where I was supposed to originally be not up the stairs and up a ramp..... I will never rent from this place again have a life or something

Your mobile check in and drop off front and back of drivers license should be scanned in front and back this way you will not be receiving an error. When I returned the Vehicle there were a lot of customers who had to scan the QR code to check because they had no knowledge that was the procedure.

There was a severe lack of customer service. My reservation time was changed to a later time to avoid issuing me the $50 for the rental not being available when I needed it. The online check-in process did not work correctly; therefore, I had to re-check in several times. This was an overall frustrating experience that has wasted much of my time. I would expect more from U-Haul.

This is what happened to me I rented a 26' truck plus a auto transport I don't have any problem with the truck but the auto transport doesn't have brake at all 45 hundred pounds car pushed the truck very hard when I had to use the brakes I can't run more than 40/50 miles per hour so 18/20 hours trip from Clifton New Jersey to Tampa Florida cost me 26 hours and I have to thanks God because I don't had an accident but uhaul charge me $40 extra for gasoline this is unacceptable so shame on you uhaul

Pick up location was friendly and accommodating . Truck was newer and only had 5000 miles on it......... but that didn't matter. The truck broke down half way through our trip and we were stuck , at night in Knoxville Tenn. I was able to contact roadside help where I was connected to a person named Sean. He was amazing! Then out of know where I was contacted by some lady that had no idea of how to handle the situation and her customer relation skills were extremely poor. All she was doing was reading off of a script and not listening to my needs. I finally disconnected from her, I could not take it any longer. Sean called back and handled everything seamlessly. He was a savior. Uhaul paid for our night at a ok hotel. The next day I had to unload the old truck and loaded half of the contents into the new one before the moving people showed up. The moving people that help with the last of our things were amazing and kind. It was not there fault that I started without them. I had time restraints and had to. The rest of the trip was good. Older truck with 60,000 was great.... go figure. I will use Uhaul again in the future.

The girl helping was overwhelmed with customers showing everyone how to check in online. But once it was done I loved that it walked you through for damages, mileage and odometer reading. The last place I went to had the wrong odometer reading and gas level and was charged extra.

I don't ever like to leave bad reviews... Front desk was rude and unhelpful. The facility was not easy to navigate, and after moving for 10 hours with one other person, a little assistance on where to go would have been nice. It would be helpful if you were clear about 3rd floor units having staircases and steep ramps with no elevator!!!!!!!!!! That move in process was exhausting!

Todo estuvo perfecto en el recibo del vehículo en Minnesota y el personal súper atentos. La devolución del track y tower no fue para nada agradable. Como clienta mujer esperaba mayor amabilidad en la entrega y no que tenía que saber como desengranar el camión del remolque que venía con mi carro. Yo venía de conducir 20 horas para encontrarme con semejante cuento. Los que recibieron el vehículo dijeron que eso no les correspondía hacerlo y que yo debía pagar un fee si quería que ellos lo hicieran. Yo respondí que no tenía conocimiento de ello pues en mi contrato no decía nada de esas tarifas extra pero que si estaba establecido en el sistema yo lo pagaba y finalmente no lo cargaron. Creo que solo tiraron el aventón. Ese detalle genera desconfianza. No me pareció honesto de esos dos empleados en Saddle Brook.

You facility had a roof leak and damaged my items. I was told it my problem because I didn't have separate insurance. I really don't care what the contract says. You have a building that's not maintained and that should not be my problem. I lost three months of Rent payments and thousands of dollars because I have to throw out all my items from the damage. I will never recommend or use that facility again for storage.

The staff was great.My only concern was how difficult it was to get my belonging in and out of the facility.There was no elevators and it was so difficult to get stuff up and down the stairs and ramp.

Staff are uninterested in customer service. Facilities are disgusting and leaked water, damaging things in my unit, and even though I paid for insurance your manager would do nothing.

The customer service rep was very nice but he was all alone and there was a long line. I felt bad for him. I had movers that I was paying by the hour and that cost me some extra money.

No bugs, or rodents! However; building really needs updating. Stairs and steep ramp are too cumbersome. Moving extremely tiresome, difficult, and dangerous. No customer appreciation. Workers nice.
