I originally had a reservation closer to my location at the time, less than a week before my move I had received an email relocating me to a different facility because the place that I originally Reserved with couldn't accommodate me…. Already inconveniencing me before my big move, but since it was in Scottsdale Arizona I had faith the equipment would be in great condition and I was wrong. I was states away from Arizona and the left headlight came completely out hanging by the wires it's attached to….. I had to quickly pull over in a highway to address the situation I called roadside assistance and I was estimated a half hour wait in the heat with a cat and two lizards to in the vehicle. It was taped up with black duck tape by the previous renters. I expected more from the Scottsdale location. I had no choice but to take myself and my animals To a safe location not knowing what the outcome would be we had to make an unexpected stop at a hotel I was told I would be reimbursed for this inconvenience and I still have NOT!!! So No I will not recommend this to anyone. This was a horrible experience and I was way to trusting to this company for checking their own equipment before sending people off. Someone should do a walk through with you. It is also their responsibility to make sure the equipment is gone n working condition and clearly that was NOT THE CASE

Everyone at the Scottsdale AZ UHaul location was lovely to work with. Murfreesboro TN location was absolutely a nightmare. EVERYONE we spoke with was Extremely rude. Jade was by far the rudest associate I've ever dealt with. Morgan who we spoke with last and delivered our box was pleasant and lovely to work with. Was told originally the 8.2 delivery date was fine, then was told we couldn't have our things delivered because no drivers on 8.2 Then when I called to confirm the new date, someone told me it could be delivered on 8.2 so we scheduled it again for 8.2 Then we received several rude voicemails from Shannon, and Jade telling us we need to call to pick a new date again….. So we called, received MORE unnecessary attitude and finally had it scheduled for the 8.3 date… Needless to say… your customer service sucks!

The pickup in Indianapolis was perfect. Delivery to Scottsdale was over a month long process, requiring several visits to the counter. Every time the container could not be found or was found at a Mesa location. This past Thursday (over a month after my first visit) I was initially told the container was again MIA when it had been specifically scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. After expressing my frustration over the continued run around my container was indeed found at the Scottsdale location but some reason it had never been checked in. When attempting to check in the container to release it to me there was a technical glitch or hold on the box from your transit group. After several calls to transit this got cleared up. I was eventually able to access the box an hour after my scheduled arrival. The people in Scottsdale were very friendly but seemed to be somewhat clueless on how to resolve the issues with transit. My poor rating above was not just for the location but against the entire delivery organization associated with my pod. While observing the counter folks work, I noticed several occasions where the counter help did not seem empowered to solve problems on their own.

When I rented my unbox I was told that when it arrived at the destination I would be contacted to schedule having it delivered to my residence. But when I called to schedule delivery I was told that the facility it was shipped to doesn't deliver. I would have to come there and unload it. So I had to contact another company to go pick it up and deliver it to my home. It was very frustrating. Why was it delivered to a facility that doesn't deliver? That was the whole reason for using the unbox. And the people at the facility was not helpful at all. They acted like it was an inconvenience that I called and it was my problem to get it moved. I was very disappointed that I was not told that before I booked cause if I was I would have never book it.

Oreanha and Mason were great as always. I hear from others including customers Jason been spreading how I got fired. I also left my keys in the cup holder when I left in a hurry, Jason claimed there were nothing there when Riley asked him about it. I know I left them there because I lock my house from door walked to my rental and place keys there “I'm not crazy” communicated with current manager Erica and she rudely replied no keys in the truck. You gave me a truck with a slow leaking tire that had a screw stuck in it. I took it back to exchange it for another truck. Maybe it happened in the 5 mile trip to my house but tire pressure should be checked before going out.

The truck was parked a little too close to the other trucks when picking up my truck. There wasn't too much space when pulling out from where my rental truck had been parked. Otherwise everything went well, and quick check in and return of truck process.

I struggled with using the app for Truck Share check in and return . Some assistance with navigating the app would have been really helpful . The app did not save me any time compared to checking in / out inside the location . The staff is extremely customer-oriented and they make doing business with UHaul very easy .

Called to ask for my required drop off time and was told that there was an hour “grace” period. Got there 45 mins past my drop off time and was informed that this was “completely wrong”. They insisted I get charged an entire extra day. I half wanted to drive the truck around for another day since they forced me to pay for it. Bad taste, no one would admit anything. Wouldn't use this location again and will certainly look around for alternative companies next time.

the 15ft truck was in bad shape, there was an engine failure in the midst of a busy highway, the mpg was inadequate and upon pick up the tank was 1/4 full, so first stop was at a gas station. Badly maintained truck, go elsewhere for reliable trucks.

My big issue is with uHaul's main site as I reserved a trailer last week to pick up in Fountain Hills today. Just prio to heading out to pickup the trailer I called to confirm it was there. The Voicemail informed me that BOGO was not doing business due to a management change. I had to rent a larger trailer costing more money. The main corporate site should know that information & not allowed me to reserve from that location.

I was told gas tank was full and once I noticed it was less than a quarter full I called and told the office. At first they didn't believe me but after common sense kicked in they said don't worry about it. Also AC switch was missing. Luckily it was it the high setting. I recommend the people who check you in tell you about the text message to take pictures of damage and gas levels.

I rented a 5X10 unit and discovered that they gave me a 5X5 unit instead. I had to go through the whole renting process a 2nd time. They credited my card but was not able to provide me with a receipt. I went back to make sure that I would not get auto billed each month for the smaller unit. It was difficult to imagine that this could happen since I explained that I had 100 boxes to store and everyone there believed I should go with the larger unit which also made sense to me. There was no way to know that this was happening because I was told that I would be getting a discounted rate the 1st month and then pay the regular amount each month thereafter. That was not the case when I rented the 2nd unit.

After stopping at several U-Haul locations during our journey from Sacramento to Phoenix, it was refreshing to encounter U-Haul of North Scottsdale. It is a multi-purpose facility encompassing rental, return and storage. It is clean, well-maintained and the employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The staff was wonderful, but my experience was awful. I had a reservation for a location 25 min west of my house, not ideal, but doable. I loaded up my car and dropped my husband off at Home Depot then i went to my location. After having a reservation for months, they didn't call to tell me they didn't have my size unit. I could pay $110 more a month for a size I didn't need, but no thanks! So I had to go to one 25 minutes north of my house AND we couldn't get anything we needed at Home Depot bc my car was still loaded. On top of this, I couldn't get back to pick my kids up on time bc I didn't have any place for them to sit, so i was scrambling there. I ended up spending 4 1/2 hours trying to get into a locker and all because no one called to tell me to go somewhere else, and i had 8 Rubbermaid totes, that's it. Then on top of that, the place they sent me in the end was $15 more a month for that same size and it wasn't even climate controlled! The first one was, how does that even figure?! And I wasn't told that when I left the first place for the second. So while I rate your staff with excellence for friendliness, the experience was pretty awful. Any day this would have been annoying, but we're moving and have a million things to do, this shouldn't have been such a Process!

Manger is not customer friendly. We have two units at this facility. I had to bring equipment in after normal hours and had an issue with access. Called the emergency number which was the manager. Never returned my call and was not able to enter. When I asked him why he didn't answer he said he doesn't respond since he is up very early. NOT ACCEPTABLE

The staff and especially the manager are just flat out lazy. I had to ask multiple times for a card to get into the building. The worker who initially set up my account/ storage unit was very impolite and wanted to do as little work as possible. Any question was met with a very annoyed response. The experience I had here was no doubt a direct result of the manager who wouldn't allow me to leave the storage unit unlocked and with nothing in it for about a half hour whilr I went and got my lock and items I was storing in the unit. When calling into this store to try and move out I had to call in 4 times, each were met with an employee putting me on hold for over 20 minutes each time before I hung up. I never got threw to them once and had to call into the main U haul number to finally check out. I have used U-Haul a bunch of times in the past and my experience was wonderful. Not a single complaint ! This store was so bad that of I did not know how it stacked up to others, I would never use U-Haul again. This is unacceptable and in an incredibly wealthy area like Scottsdale, this entire U-Haul store needs some serious looking into.

Attempted to use mobile check in for van rental and after jumping through the online hoops I still had to go inside and check in with an attendant. Due to my work schedule getting to our unit during the day proved difficult and it is an extra fee to have longer access hours, not the case at our new facility. I get supply and demand but feel that Uhaul is erring on the side of greed.

Exceptional service. Was able to get into unit a day early because my itinerary changed. Realized I need to upgrade to a larger unit and the process was seamless. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Even better, after about 15 minutes of moving stuff in, management came by with a refreshment and was very mindful that I was staying hydrated while moving items in. 10 out of 10 experience and definitely recommend!!!

Rodney runs an excellent operation. We watched him maintain order when customers became indignant or rude. He was very fair to us and made us feel as though our account mattered. His team is available and works hard to minimize waiting times or errors with paperwork. We've used several U-haul storage facilities over the years, but this has been the most excellent of them all. We rented the unit online and it came with a free lock. We checked in online and received a text confirmation of the unit number, code to enter the building and confirmation that the lock was I n the unit. We purposely checked in online as we waited in line for over 40 minutes to buy moving boxes the prior weekend and wanted to avoid that wait. When we arrived at the unit, the lock was not in there as stated. We ended up having to go to the office to wait in line for 30 minutes. It was extremely disappointing that we checked in online to avoid the painful wait, yet that is exactly what ended up happening.

The guys in the parking lot were very helpful and accommodating. The lady who helped me inside the building was rude. She asked me for my address, even though I already have a customer file due to having a storage locker. I said "shouldn't you have that already?" and she said "Sir, I just need your address." She would not even explain how idiotic it is that uHaul does not already have my address handy. I let that go. She wore a facemask BELOW her nose, which is ridiculous. I asked for a pro-rated refund of my storage locker and she said "we don't do that" instead of showing me the contract. I did not push on it. The facility is not clean, the equipment in the main storage area is falling apart. They constantly ask everyone NOT to park where it says "customer parking" and to PARK IN THE STREET which is far less safe. GET your act together.

Out of 8-9 attempts to enter, my code only worked on my move out day. I drove 24 min one way to get there only to realize waste of time, I can't get in. Doing this multiple times gets old, so no, I'm not fond in any way of this place! One might wonder why they are paying $270/month for a 10x10 they can't access... but whatever. It is what it is. I would pay tripple that just to get out! Also every time I called store, without fail it was approx 20-25min hold to speak with someone ... even the last day I showed up and no other customers were there... so I hung phone up and walked inside. That's a joke.

Absolutely horrendous service! 10/10 would recommend any of my friends use ANY OTHER SERVICE!!! The staff was very slow and not helpful. I was ignored. Everybody just took their time strutting around when the store was busy. There were 2 front desk clerks on a Sunday. Absolutely insane to have such little staff on a weekend. If I were the store owner or corporate manager I would fire everyone working in the store. Lastly I made a payment on my storage unit in advance and the clerk told me they weren't going to refund my payment of $125. Absolute theft if you ask me. Especially after giving 6 months of my business. The truck had horrible alignment and hadn't been inspected since January of LAST YEAR. The last time I helped a friend move in a uhaul it hadn't been inspected in 5 years and we had a tire blow out while exiting the freeway. Absolutely terrible business. I HATE UHAUL and I will NEVER offer my business ever again and I will steer everyone I have the opportunity another direction.
