The GM at this location was very helpful. The truck was well maintained but NOT very clean inside the cab. sticky goo on cup holders with hair embedded.. not just in one place. Cab needed a simple wipe down inside to be a more pleasant experience off the bat!Gerald M.

12 hr rental - first hour spent in line waiting to get checked in. Very busy location. Employees are working hard - just need a better, more efficient process for this. Secondly, the key drop box is hard to find. The drop off check-in didn't work on multiple browsers for both my wife and I, so we just dropped the keys off and left. We didn't get charged a service charge for not checking in the drop off, so I bumped up from 2 to 3 stars. Thanks.William E.

First I was told my rental van would be on one side of the building to wander around for a while before being told by maintenance staff that it was on the far other side of the building, all in 100 degree heat. Not only were the windows and dash filthy, it was impossible to get through to talk with the location to see if I could extend my rental. I was told the hold time estimate would be 15 minutes, which is already too long, but then I held for almost 30 minutes before finally hanging up and giving up and simply returning a couple hours late without notice. How about showing I dropped the car trailer off at the exact place in Tucson, AZ that was agreed upon, not in Carrollton, TX which is what UHaul claims. There is a huge mile distance between Tucson, AZ and Carrollton, TX. I never dropped this trailer off in Carrollton, TX. Then, UHaul charged us $438.00 + tax as "WrongDropOff". THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! I did contact Customer Service and a request for a refund of $438.00 + tax was submitted. I will call tomorrow (Tuesday, 7/26/22) to see if the $438.00 refund was approved. This was a huge error on UHaul's side and not on my side!!!!!! I have never encountered a more unprofessional, disinterested customer service agent than the one who checked out the trailer to me on this rental. She was curled up in her chair the entire time and looked like she was at home in a beanbag chair. She acted like I was a distraction to her. Nothing against the location in Carrollton and it should receive 5 stars but I only gave 3 stars because the truck I reserved was moved there and I was given less than 24 hour notice. That changed messed up my plans because I had to go 6 miles farther to pick up my truck and drove 6 miles back to the storage in Coppell to load it up and then drive 6 miles back to the location in Carrollton to hitch up the auto transport . The least U-haul could've done is transfer that truck to the original location in Coppell where I originally reserved it a couple of weeks prior. The staff at the Carrollton location did a good job overall assisting me especially "D" hitching up the auto transport under the hot sun.Sonny L.

I went in because I was unable to make a payment online. Amy tried several times with no luck. So she told me that they would comp me for this month and she would work on getting the problem resolved. Shortly after leaving I received a call from Crystal requesting payment. I am giving this rating only to the GM Josiah and his staff at the Carrollton location for going beyond customer service to assist me. I will only communicate and contract my moving needs with his location from this point The initial online experience in my truck and moving needs were horrible and cost me more money and wasted time. Online customer service provided me with a moving company that was 2 kids in a car with no packing experience. They had no tools or supplies to secure my things. UHaul chose the wrong size truck for my long distance move and the worst packing experience ever! I had to secure another truck to move and store my additional furniture and secure a storage unit locally so that I did not abandon my things. I will now have to pay for a moving box to bring my things to Florida after paying $2000 initially. Unless it happened to not be working, you no longer need to swipe your access card in order to access your unit. This was the reason I returned to this location. Whether myself or a thief opened my unit without my access card, an alarm would sound. I don't see what's keeping my unit secure now. Anyone could bust the lock and the staff doesn't seem like they would do anything if they suspected a robbery. There are cameras but without an alarm, who's to say it's not their unit? Is there protocol for anyone to check? Staff is friendly, but there is no sense of efficiency. I reserved my unit online to avoid hassle. It took nearly an hour from the time I showed up to get my unit because nothing was ready for me. I was asked what type of locker I wanted when I'd already selected an upper 5x5x6. When I arrived, it was a lower. I had to wait in line again to get the correct unit. When I arrived to the new one, the zip tie was still secured, so I had to leave again to get it off. Thankfully I hadn't hired movers or it would have been a costly wait, but I did have family help who had to wait on me when they didn't plan on the delay. Any service request usually takes a while, but I stuck with this facility because the security was worth it. I think it is bad business to enforce a policy and have no recourse nor offer any grace to people in need. We went over on our monthly lease by 7 days because we had to leave town for a death in the family. So we were charged a full months rent for 7 days use. Yet UHaul would not offer any kind of a refund for the month. Not even partial. Nothing. I know it is in the contract but exceptions should be made for some circumstances and a death in the family would be one of them. And I have worked in IT for decades and know that every billing system has an override procedure so blaming it on the "system not allowing it" is just lying. Asked for late night access over three times, was told that I was good to go, showed up at 10:30pm to unload my stuff prior to work in the morning access was denied. Call the after hours GM no answer multiple times. Had to sleep in the truck at night, in order to go to the office at 7 AM and was Told " what do you want us to do about it?" Then got a charge for going 30 miles on the truck because I couldn't unload my stuff when I was specifically told I was good to go. You staff was very rude even though it was after hours. Some people had questions about leaving the equipment there and the employee was rude even though your off the clock you still work there and it would have been courteous to answer the questions the customer an extra 10 mins or less so they would not have to pay extra for a screwup or have to spend hours trying to correct something that you could have solved in 10 mins.LISA G. | First Impressions

We had stored here for more than 20 years. It is very convenient and well maintained. The only negative comment I would have is that the wait time at the front office is long particularly before weekend with lot of vehicle and equipment renters in line and those transactions took a long time. .If you are just buying a few packing material you have to wait a long time just to pay.
