The location was understaffed and disorganized. The “systems” were down, and I had to wait almost an hour after my reservation time. The most frustrating part was that I had signed up for truckshare to bypass the lines, but I had no way of accessing the truck because it was behind secure gates. I received no code to enter, and the person at the desk was too overwhelmed to even ask. By the time I reached the counter after waiting in line, she was not very nice even though I empathized with her lack of control over the situation. I was also charged $10 for the CDW even though I had declined in my online reservation. My truck was also not clean on the inside. Not a great experience today.

I went to pick up the van and the dolly. They didn't have any dollys, so I asked if I could be refunded for it, and the women behind the counter said sure. I dropped the van back off and asked again if I will be refunded and the women said YES! I got my receipt and I was not refunded. It's was frustrating, but the van was nice and did what it had to do, so I can't be too upset.

I got locked in on one instance because I wasn't told any time limitations. When I cleared my storage unit, the employee on duty was made aware before she hurriedly left for the day and told me she would deactivate my access that day. But never made a note in the system. This date was before my free 30 days was up, I called to schedule the walk through the day before my 30 days and was told I couldn't proceed with the walk through until I paid mY outstanding balance. I explained the situation and the so called manager on duty (not Trell) said that even though the employee neglected to note that I was moving out on a date prior to my 30 days I still had to pay.

It was kind of frustrating that I had to wait over an hour to get a room a storage unit and also my card to get into the unit they were Nash was not sure it will work and then I might have to wait 24 hours to use it and then come back to the office if it didn’t work when I try again frustrating

I was approved for this site as a drop off. When I got there I was told I could not drop it off because they were full. The person was very rude and left me in the parking lot when I said that I was approved. She did not return. I called U haul and service rep and talked to them, however, they put me on hold and then hung up on me. Called again and received a very rude rep who said Atlanta was not her service area and she could not assist. Called back and it was after 7:00. I had no other option then to do on line check out and leave truck where I was approved to do so. I have used uhaul for many years and have NEVER had such a horrible experience.

My experience with the staff here was horrible. Upon completing my transaction and given the keys with no instruction as to how to find my truck on a lot of many trucks and told “you can go now.” So after physically trying the keys on 5 different trucks that did not work I went back in to tell the staff. When I did so, the staff then became rude when I simply stated to have your customer go search all the trucks is unacceptable and why did you not provide any instructions? Turned out the truck was on a complexly different side of the facility which was gated and of which I had to be let into. When I tried to discuss this further with the manager she just walked away from me- completely walked away. I expressed how rude and disappointing this was - to have a manager who should be helping solve and diffuse just walk away and yell back that I'm being a problem. This situation occurred Thursday July 28th between 5:30 -6pm est. I don't know if you can identify the two women working during this time at this location, but I hope so. They were terrible and very rude. I will not be back here and hope these ladies are corrected on treating people this way.

Check in time was not what it advertised as. Quote was not as the in store price ended up being and spent 45 minutes sorting that out and then van was disgusting when we opened door with previous renter trash and clothing in van.

I had to wait around to get my key because the store was locked. The hours said it opened at 7am. I arrived at 7:30am because that was the time on my reservation. I finally saw an employee in the back around the storage and signaled for her to come help me get a key. She was pretty rude. She did not speak or acknowledge me and when I asked her if I could get my key, her response was “you'll have to wait”. I will never be back to this location and am very disappointed in the service I received. Moving is very stressful and decent customer service is all I was expecting.

Trell was awesome. The only problem I had is the parking area to leave your car so you can use the uhaul. As a single female, I was nervous walking up the alley as there were men hanging around. Not sure if they were homeless or on drugs but one was rolling around on the ground. It didn't feel safe for me to walk up there. I know you have no control over who hangs around but maybe if the cars were able to park in the gated parking area for a certain amount of time.

Overall - My experience at this location was very poor as follows: 1. When I arrived at 7 am to pick up my vehicle (as per my reservation), the door was locked and no one showed up until 7:40 am). When they arrived they did not apologize for being late. 2. I picked up the vehicle close to 8 am but she still wanted me to bring it back at 11 am even though I had a 4 hour reservation! We compromised at 11:30 but I felt that I should not be charged the full amount if I did not have the vehicle for 4 hours. 3. When I had pre-reserved the vehicle online, I also reserved 2 furniture dollies. However, at pickup they said they only could provide me 1 dolly. 4. Overall, this location just appears to be a poorly managed location and I will not be returning nor recommending this location to prospective customers.

My issue was simple. I was getting calls after I dropped off the vehicle hours afterwards, accusing me of not bringing the vehicle back. Finally, the next morning after receiving another call saying they had that vehicle reserved for someone else, I called and wanted to talk with the manager. I was explaining to her that I did, and to check the cameras. I returned the vehicle before 2pm. She said, don't worry about it, we figured it our. But I never should of had that issue before, when I actually went inside and handed the girl behind the counter the keys. The whole day was a wreck anyways leading up and afterwards, but I will say this. They were polite and never made a threat, just told me to bring it back, even though I already did. Maybe, if I would of answered my phone the first time, this would of been a non issue, but I didn't recognize the phone, so I was shocked when I was told they didn't have the vehicle. Anyways, I would not recommend this place, as they don't have good accountability in place. I never should have been called.

I was blatantly ignored when I walked in and had to ask multiple times to get answers to questions or to get help. I have never seen worse customer service at a Uhaul than at this location. When I was trying to rent a truck to move out of the storage facility, the staff was nowhere to be found for more than 2 hours after opening time (maybe longer). I was forced to go to another Uhaul location to rent a truck because they didn't weren't there when they were supposed to be.

I made the mistake of trying to rent a cargo van using the self-service process. I had to visit the counter no fewer than three times on one of their busiest days: once to figure out where to get the van assigned to me because most of them are locked up behind the gate, once to get the keys, and another time I was stopped and asked to sign the rental agreement even though I had completed it online. I don't blame the staff, I blame U-Hual for this awful process.

You can actually open the store at the time that you have advertised, not more than an hour late. People use Uhaul for moving and other logistics/operations that are on a schedule. When you're not on time, you can completely disrupt a whole day of plans. Especially when people make reservations for the first hour of the morning, but that hour is spent waiting around for a rude employee to actually open the doors.

The amount of space was very inefficient. I was never told there was a limited period of time that I had to exit the property and got locked inside. Also, a man tried to tell me that I had his storage unit (I told him he had to take it up with the office) even though he already had access to another storage unit and a mini office. I got charged $271.25 for something I was never made aware of, it just says service charge on the receipt and have currently been on hold for 3 going on 4 hours trying to figure out why.

When I arrived for rental pickup, the lot was so jammed In with trucks and trailers, I had to park in another lot and walk back to UHAUL location for my reservation. The Atlanta location manager Trell Benjamin, was extraordinarily rude, disrespectful, slow and unhelpful. I have rented many UHAUL trucks and trailers over the years and from this location with good experience. Apparently, this UHAUL location now provides their vehicles with nearly a empty gas tank … this location requires you to pay for gasoline in advance in order to rent a truck - in addition to the advertised rental rate! My experience today was abominable. The truck was dirty with a check engine light; brake pad light and low tire pressure warnings lit up on the dash. I alerted this manager to these issues …. and was instructed to call “ Roadside Assistance” if the truck broke down!!!! Absolutely ridiculous. No way to run a business.

I had rented a furniture dolly online with my truck. After I picked up the truck, I discovered no furniture dolly was included. I was then told that this location hasn't had furniture dollies for the last year, and that my online order was simply a "request". I believe it's outrageous not to be alerted to the fact your requested furniture dolly is not provided when you pick up the truck, and for a location to have no furniture dollies at all. My move was made a lot harder because of this. Not to mention the complete disinterest at assisting me when picking up the truck. Overall, super crappy customer service!

The equipment I reserved ahead of time and had calls with Uhaul representatives ahead of time to ensure it was available was, in fact, not available for me when I showed up at the appointed time. Don't take reservations for equipment if you can't guarantee it will be there! The woman in line in front of me had the same problem too. If you can't figure out the logistics, don't take my time and money.

I'm sorry to say that customer service at this location, on the day I was there was abysmal. It took more than 40 minutes to check out. The only way I can describe the staff's attitude toward customers was “contemptt.” Very uncomand unfortunate situation for customers and employees.

The customer service is horrific they will act as if ur not even standing in front of them and when they finally do decide to help they have the nerve to be the ones with the attitude and bad enough they don't know what they doing so had to get help from the manger TRELL BENJAMIN and it clicked why the workers are so unprofessional bc she is the definition of UNPROFESSIONAL!! I did the online checkout so I wouldn't have to stand in line to deal with your SLOW employees but at the end when I have to go in to get the keys and I could "skip the line and get your keys" this was a lie! You literally had 2 girls at the front 1 on the phone dealing with a customer that kept going in circles and the 2nd girl: Bianca Pollard just standing there on her phone and she says she couldn't help me by handing me the keys and I had to wait on the one on the phone. I stood there for over 10 mins while the one on the phone with a customer kept going in circles about not being able to waiver fees she finally put them on hold so she could hand me the keys. Why couldn't the other girl (Bianca Pollard) do that? You're literally paying somone to stand around doing NOTHING while she plays on her phone. Get better help! Also why am I paying a cleaning fee when the truck was dirty when I picked it up? I put in the check out that it was dirty and have photos to prove it!

The gas was not half when I received the truck, the truck was dirty, I was missing a dolly that I ordered. Sadly I was in a time crunch and had to take the truck so I could meet scheduled aggressive upon engagement. I then was also prayed upon by an employee who tried to swindle money out of me by lieing and saying if I didn't turn the truck in by a certain time I would be charged an additional almost 200.00. Lastly I called and was approached very rudely by the office attendant who literally uttered so you are just going to keep calling this office huh. The office staff is very rude and unprofessional FaceTiming in the middle of speaking to you very short and abrupt. I've used this location for years and it seems management must have changed for the worst! I'm completely disgusted and flabbergasted of the schemes, unprofessional environment.

Selected 24/7 self pickup when reserving but option was not available when I arrived. When I arrived at ~7:20 am (reservation was for 7 a) nobody was in the store except for one gentleman waiting to be helped. After ~20 min an employee finally entered the building without acknowledging us or apologizing for the wait. She eventually assisted the man waiting before me and then started processing my pick-up. When it came time to pay she said my first card was declined. So I used a second one which she said was also declined. I said there must be some sort of system error but she insisted my card was just declined. Same thing happened with 3rd and 4th card and me re-iterating it must be a system issue before she called another store to see if they were having issues…they were not. So she had me try again and same decline message. I asked if there was any other form of payment I could offer (cash, Venmo, Apple Pay, etc.) so I could get home for the movers that were arriving and she replied no. Finally after pleading that something must be wrong with the system, she called a help desk that recommended re-starting the terminal. Same declined error message was returning. They then suggested using a different terminal and the transaction went through on first attempt. After completing rental contract I went out to my truck and noticed there was no utility dolly or the blankets I had ordered. When I went inside to to inquire she replied that they didn't have any. But at no time did she care to mention that to me when we were going through the contract. Will never use or recommend U-Haul again.

Appalling customer service. Rude, unprofessional manager ( named Trell) who doesn't respect customer s time nor treat them with dignity/respect. Besides the location being super convenient I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Manager is always eating in front of customers wow who does that? A customer flipped on her in front of me because of her dragging her feet but also lacking of staff. My take I can empathize with the lack of staff but can't/will not empathize on the lack of professionalism. Uhaul may not care since demand is obviously high, all about ROI/$ and to prove my point read the comments from customers at this location uhaul and on google so you can perhaps understand my negative rating. Wow simply “a S* hole” like the customer behind me stated. He even went outside to scream at manager stating why the other girl wasn't helping . I can only hope Trell becomes more professional… a little smile, greeting, friendliness, an efficient and effective communication could avoid any dissatisfaction but I doubt she will ever understand that because I saw her more than once and it simply doesn't get better. I got overcharged they blamed on the computer but DM ( district manager ) said he ll take care of the refund personally! I also did share with DM about the lack of professionalism of her employee….

I got there at 9:30 for my pickup, and wasn't able to get the van until a little after 10:00, but was still expected to have it back at 11:30 (90 minutes rather than the 120 I had booked for, even though I was on time). The agent could not have been more dismissive and flippant when I was having issues with the mobile app, and didn't appear to give much interest in anyone that was waiting in line.

Your female representative at this location, 2175 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, not sure if she is the manager but you can check who was working when I picked up my truck, is awful, rude, arrogant, and condescending. I completed my check in online and the message on my screen told me to go in, bypass the line, and show the representative my screen and she would give m my keys. I did and she she ignored me and continued attending to a customer. I waited a few minutes and told her I was supposed to show her that I had completed my check in and asked for my key. She continued to ignore me so I told her that I had been instructed to come in and all she had to do was to give me the key. Her exact words were, "It doesn't work that way, I have to take care of everyone in line before I can even think about helping you." So I had to wait another 30 minutes in line. When it was my turn, I showed her my screen, she turned around, grabbed the key to the truck and handed it to me. I asked her if there was anything else I needed to do and she said no! I said, so you could not have just given me the key 30 minutes ago and she ignored me. This is completely unacceptable behavior by your staff. If you cannot provide rapid check in service, you should not advertise it. I doubt that I will ever be renting from u-haul in the future if you do not fix your customer service. I also had a bad experience at your Peachtree Rd, Atlanta location which I will not go into details about. It is my hope that uhaul will take my review seriously and train your location representatives how to deal with customers. I give this location a negative 1 star!

Gentleman (cannot recall name but had colored hair) assisting us was very irate and unprofessional when we asked him to confirm the gas levels. Raised his voice and walked away. Made me feel incredibly uncomfortable as we were not asking him for anything but to confirm. Then we get a call the day after at around 7am to ask where we left the keys. When the lady was told they were in the lockbox, she questions why we left them there… I mean it surely was not because we wanted to leave them there but because that is what we were instructed to do by the site. Vehicle was in good condition and served it's purpose, but the overall experience customer service was awful.

The equipment was in terrible shape the bumper literally falling off the truck. I was very unhappy with driving such a rundown truck. Dents all over the truck. I was honestly shocked that the truck was considered rentable. No gas was in the truck upon pickup from the location as soon as I pull out of the uhaul location the gas light came on.

Was supposed to receive a furniture dolly and regular dolly when I went to pick up my Uhaul. I was never notified that the store I chose didn't have these pieces of equipment when I was making my reservation. They said nothing about the fact that they didn't have either dolly and I believe I was charged even though I never received them. The next day, after returning my Uhaul, I called and asked why I didn't receive either, and they let me know that they didn't have it at that location. You all should be telling people this while they are placing a reservation. I would have chosen a different location or company if I knew this was the case beforehand.

Checking the vehicle out was a pretty terrible experience. They didn't have the reservation for additional furniture pads and argued with me on whether they could add any to my reservation once I was there. I tried to get some additional boxes that I did not order ahead online and they seemed very frustrated with me to the point that I eventually dropped it and bought boxes at Home Depot. I ended up speaking to three different people while I was there (I'm not sure why I kept getting passed around to different people). When they told me I couldn't get furniture pads I asked to see a detailed receipt for the $355 I had just paid so that I could confirm that furniture pads I reserved online were not included in that amount and they told me that there is no way I could have paid that much and that there wasn't a detailed receipt available for me. Eventually, they pulled my receipt out and walked me through each of the charges, but the entire process felt like I was bothering them or being unreasonable trying to get more pads and boxes. I will go somewhere else next time.

My online pick up wasn't working and the store employee refused to help me. She walked out of the location and said someone would show up to help me eventually. My pick up was at 9 and didn't end up getting the truck until about 10 because customer service was so poor. I ordered a dolly and blankets and the store didn't have them for rent and couldn't tell me where to get the items I ordered. Upon arrival I was double charged for mileage and I attempted to reach out to get a refund and I've been ignored.

The staff was so rude and unhelpful. The woman working there were lazy and ignored us completely when we entered and stood at the desk. No one acknowledged our presence for over 3 minutes. Then when we were finally acknowledged there was an older gentlemen working that was so bitter to be working there. If you asked him a question he was so short with you and he acted so annoyed. I went on Google to leave a review and read how almost every single review mentions his negative attitude. Location stated false policies and refused to rent me the truck unless I paid for extra coverages. Felt like extortion since it was the time I needed the truck and I was already physically on site so not picking up the truck would have resulted in other issues like delays and wasted time for coming to pick up the truck and having to rent again later from a different location that actually follows U-Haul policies. This is not acceptable and the management at the location should be held accountable.

I thought i had reserved a storage unit online. I even called to ask if my unit was climate controlled and someone told me something like “yes, your storage unit is on the third floor and climate controlled”. My reservation was made to include the truck, trolley, and furniture pads. I picked-up the truck using the u-haul app. When I got to the given truck, it had no gas (literally the gasoline light in the truck was on), there was no trolley, and no furniture pads. When I enter the office to inquire about all the issues regarding my rental (I mean a truck with NO gas); the manager of the facility did not even look at me and replied "Do you want the truck or no?" and continued with "You have to fill-up and we will give you a price adjustment for the gas you over filled once you return the truck" I mean "WHAT?". That was her interaction making it even worse by the fact that she could have given zero importance to customer service. I am beyond upset by what I experienced that day, with the rental, the service, and the massive lack of empathy or care for a client.

Your employee couldn't have cared less about me. She didn't say hello, she was doing other task while I was trying to complete my reservation, and she didn't give me any instructions about how to complete the checklist. If this had been the first time I did a U-Haul rental, I would've completely missed that part. I reserved a dolly, which she didn't have, and when I pointed out that you had a guarantee and promised that you would supply reserved equipment, she said she was just an employee and she couldn't do anything about it.

When I arrived she couldn’t find my reservation and I asked her did she need my reservation number she said she couldn’t look that so eventually she found it only to tell me they had nothing available I threatened to call customer service because I drove all the way from Cumming then she made a phone call and I sat and until she did every move out just to find me a unit that was somewhat comparable but I ended up with a non climate controlled unit on the fifth floor very dissatisfied with my experience because it set me back I was in the location at least an hour with a line of customers behind and it also resulted in me having to extend my truck rental an additional day because both places where I reserved through uhaul dropped the ball putting my day off schedule and incurring extra cost

Advertised as 24-hour storage but was not the case upon arrival. Representative in the phone was not helpful and coerced me into getting a unit that she insinuated was the same as the one I had reserved, turns out it was a wine unit. The gate code did not work so when I came back the next day and discovered the situation with the wine unit I tried to explain to the manager that I already had a drive up unit reserved and he stated that because it was a few minutes after 6 he couldn't help me so I'm on day 3 of sorting this out. Very disappointed as I have been a U-Haul customer for 10 years and never had issues like this before.

Trell really helped me in this inflation being a single human with no kids i have been forced to do the unthinkable... I couldn't not renew my lease because I don't make 3 times the rent and I needed a place to store my things while I stay in airbnb till I find a better living arrangement... when I got in 10 minutes before close and I know workers want to go home but that was the only available Reservation I could find.. Trell had no attitude, she helped 3ppl and me all at the same time, never once was she overwhelmed she worked well under the pressure... and again very informative on the company!

I was given the wrong address online and it wasn't open when I arrived during the hours of operation, then they gave me the correct address but the first unit they gave me a unit too small after I told them I needed a bigger size. They then gave me a bigger unit but it had stuff in it so I had to wait for it to be cleaned before we can put our stuff in....When asked for compensation i was looked at as if I was crazy! I'm honestly glade that my stuff isn't going to be in there long... The whole experience was just too much for me.

I moved to Atlanta,GA from New York City/tri-state area. I booked my storage unit in March and arrived to ATL in July. When scheduling my truck and storage unit in March, the automated e-Mail from the U-Haul company did not contain any move in information, only truck return by date. Because I did not move in by a specific date expected by the company, my storage unit was canceled by the company. Kiera came to my rescue and corrected the company mistake. Kierra found my requested storage unit and I moved in on the day I requested. Kierra was very understanding of my traveling situation and accommodated my needs and expectations. The company of U-Haul is below satisfactory but Kierra fixed an issue that should not have been existent. Beware with using the U-Haul company. If you encounter customer service adovates such as Kierra, you will be screwed.

My reservation for a 10x20 unit was not honored I had called repeatedly and visited in person week prior to confirm all- yet I arrived w movers and was told not available. There was one 10x15 available. After exploring I took it. I did not have any choice at that point. It's ceiling has a rip w insulation hanging and no lightbulb. I was told no more lightbulbs in units and they would put in work order for ceiling- but now we have all our items stacked in the unit so don't see how they can repair. It should have been fully repaired before move in allowed. My customer service contacts were very nice and very helpful but their capacity to deliver service seemed compromised by your system. There was only one service person there as well. You really need to better support your employees to deliver better customer service Also the back gate broken.

There is not enough driving room at this storage place. I've had multiple conversations with Kierra Arnold about my unit being closed, with me being in another state, I have to do over the phone/online. I closed it online on March 1, 2021 and she continued to send letters, emails, and phone calls when I stated the unit was closed and she also had possession of my keys for the unit. It is now May 6, 2021 and I'm just now received from her end my unit is fully closed out when it should have already been done. I'm sure other U-Haul storages are not this bad or difficult to deal with but I will always let everyone know never to use this storage place in Buckhead as it's been a huge headache.

The gate was broken, transient people walking through, did not feel safe. The bathroom was disgusting. It smelled like smoke inside building. After speaking to customer service after booking my unit initially to help me choose a size, I was assured the size would be appropriate. It wasn't even close. We went through 3 units before I was able to get the right size. Customer service needs better training on what sizes are appropriate because it caused a hassle and it's confusing to the customer. Also, the unit I confirmed online (and went in a week before my move in day to reconfirm in person) was already booked and unavailable when I got there with basically a shrug from the person working. One size up was available but she wouldn't even consider a discount for the inconvenience though I confirmed that unit twice. Why should i pay more when the unit you promised me is gone? Didn't matter because even that unit was too small. The whole move in process was a nightmare and the handful of times we had to go to the unit before we could move it out, it felt unsafe. I would never go back here.
