I reserved a 20 footer at Athens and almost didn't get a truck somebody changed my reservation to Sweetwater and didn't tell me and I got a 15 foot could not fit everything !! The people that are running the store are fucking morons who don't give a fuck about anything BUT THAT'S Tennessee !! inbred loossers I will never never ever use u hall again and this is all over every social media that's available . To whom it may concern, I recently rented a U-Haul truck for my moving needs, it was the worst experience I have ever encountered and I expect my concern to be addressed and corrected. Please see various complaints below: I received a text on Friday (4/29/22) that I was going to be given a 26 foot truck and that they wanted me to tow a trailer from Knoxville to Columbus. I called to discuss this, I was bounced around to 4 different people before my question/concerns could be addressed. I had ordered a 15 foot truck to be picked up in Athens, TN, when I arrived at the designated location, I was told that they did not have a truck for me. They told me my truck was in Sweetwater, TN which is out of the way from my home. No one had bothered me to contact me with this rather important information....I was fuming! I arrive in Sweetwater to pick up the truck, I was given a 26 foot truck rather than the 15 foot I had rented. I live on a very narrow mountain lane....there is a reason I rented a 15 foot truck. I only had help available for that one day, I had no choice but to take the larger vehicle. Once I got home getting the truck to my house was a nighmare. We literally had to back-up this mountain lane for 1/4 of a mile! We could not get the truck close enough to the house to use the ramp, again, there was a specific reason I rented the smaller truck. I called customer service to voice my concerns, again, I was bounced around from person to person and had to hold two times for longer than 30 minutes each time....I was supposed to be loading the truck, not sitting on hold. Once I finally for through to someone, they told me I would be given a $50 credit since no one had called me about changes to my rental. I explained to her why I was so angry, not only was the truck to big, but the fuel would cost me much more than I had budgeted. She told me that the 26 foot truck gets the same milage as the 15 foot truck and that it wouldn't be a difference. Now, I'm no automotive engineer, however, it's common sense that due to the large size difference, milage will indeed be different. I have used U-Haul many times for my moving needs but after this disaster, I will never book with your company again. This experience was uncalled for and unprofessional. Ordered my uhaul trailer online. Spoke with Tommy to confirm and was told they had closed for the day. He could not have been more helpful! Arranged a pick up time that afternoon and everything went perfect. Tommy was the best.

Very nice guy. But the store is a one room shack with no accessories. He didnt even know the trailer he rented me didnt have a safety chain on it and never looked at the lights on trailer to see if they worked. The other trailer he had on the lot was still hooked to a box truck and he didnt want to separate the 2.

The owner was rude and he sets his own hours. I called Uhaul and they said I could pickup my rental early and that Sweetwater Farm Repair is open until 4pm daily. My son and I got there at 1:27pm and he said the close at noon. I asked if he could open so I could pick up the rental and he said no. This totally was wrong which prevented us from leaving early on Friday and caused us a 3 hour delay in Atlanta since we left so late. No happy with the Sweatwater location

I called the location numerous times concerning the drop off. I left several messages and never received a call back. I also called during the office hours three times. The calls were not picked up. So, I left the messages again and asked them to call me back. They never did. I won't do business with this location anymore.

I had to park the truck in a very small grass lot. There was worry about the truck getting stuck in the wet grass but everything went well. The lot was very small for so many big trucks.

If it had not been for this dealer you would have lost the rental, corporate sucks when they told me my gmc 3500 diesel couldn't pull your little 6x12 trailer when my trucks pulls my 22,000 toy hauler, corporate needs to hire people who have enough brains to know what a real truck is. My dealer and I are still laughing

Manager was super helpful and friendly. He worked with us since we were coordinating with friends to pick up our trailer for the afternoon and made it extremely easy for us to wait around to get the trailer and then later that afternoon return it. The computer system didn't inform him of our reservation, but he was fantastic to still work with us so that we could get some appliances moved with ease.
