App is extremely buggy. When the app used gps to verify I was at the pickup location, it kept saying I wasn't at the location. I reserved a 15' truck days before to pickup in my current town, I was notified the day before, a 15' is not available and was receiving a 20' truck in a different town. (This truck was too large for my needs) This pickup was scheduled at 10:30 AM and devolved into me being on the phone with U-Haul for 2 hours in the middle of a crawfish boil. Because of this extremely frustrating delay, we had to wait until the next morning to finish the move to The storage unit 2 hours away due to U-Haul storage business hours. The U-Haul was also filthy, covered in scratches with the front bumper hanging, and had U-Haul flags inside the cargo area. If U-hauls are in such high demand, make more trucks available. Please fix the app, do away with the gps location verification. My sister also had an awful experience with U-Haul moving for college last year which resulted in her and my mom crying. My family has used U-Haul several times through the years. But the app has made it a complete nightmare for us these last two times. The customer service I spoke to on the phone was helpful, patient, and kind. The man who I believe ran the location was friendly but couldn't help me whatsoever. My issue is the app, the lack of available trucks, and whoever was responsible for cleaning the truck before I used it (it even had a bonus container of rotten blueberries on the hood).Mary M.

I was over charged. I contacted someone with U-Haul they told me someone would contact me to take care of the problem. I'm still waiting for a phone call.Monique J.
U-Haul changed my reservation location and I was not notified. I did not know until I checked the reservation the day before the location had changed. Upon arrival to the location, I was unable to access the key, as the GPS tracker stated I was not in the correct location. I had to call the customer service line and have the representative manually process my reservation so I could get the key. This was after I spoke to another representative prior and was put on hold to transfer to the truck share service and the line went silent. I was told by the representative that the owner was to place a wifi or radar box that alerted my GPS when I was at the location and since the GPS did not verify my location, even though I was right in front of the store and truck, was all the more disappointing. Furthermore, the business owner had a sign up that stated they were out of town until the 28th, so I had no way to contact them to see if the situation could be resolved on that end. The whole process took almost an hour and I had movers who were due to arrive an hour after I was supposed to pick the truck up. Moving itself is extremely stressful and this made the entire process more stressful. Lastly, the owner of the location parked the truck in a hard to maneuver location, so that ontop of having to deal with the issue with truck share was very disappointing.James R.
Originally, my reservation was for a truck to be picked up at another location, an actual UHAUL outlet, in Radcliff, Kentucky(a 2 1/2 hour drive from home). The truck I had rented was there, but somehow the keys had been left inside the building...and not in the box for me to retrieve. The Uhaul app indicated I needed to be there at 7AM, even though my reservation wasnt until 7:30PM. The same time I began calling Customer Support(7:30PM). After being on hold for a small eternity, I was finally able to speak with a representative who disconnected while attempting to contact her supervisor about the issue. After calling back, I was given the option for a callback....which came...then another 30 minutes on hold. The representative was helpful in finding a nearby location with a truck(Mr.Browns SoulFood), but the truck should have never been allowed to leave the town. The front end was visibly out of alignment, with the left front tire pointing straight, the driver front tire pointed to the left. Additionally, I am still waiting for my reservation guarantee refund.....which should be doubled after being given a truck with a tie-rod that could have snapped on the 148 mile trip. Then, when returning the truck, in Somerset, Kentucky....the app would not allow me to upload the pictures of the dash using my android device(Samsung Galaxy:AT&T). To say this experience was memorable...is accurate. Not being able to pick up the reserved vehicle....being given a SKETCHY AF TRUCK, Not being able to return the SHETCHY AF truck, still no reservation guarantee deposited........bang up job guys.Daniel R.
Your online check In and pick up is horrible..trying to get the truck at pick up time website not recognizing location...on hold with number customer is supposed to call for help over a hour...so that puts you late for pick up...never got to talk to anyone....a uhaul just happened to be driving by on his way to a job a hour away...saw us sitting in a empty parking lot next to a truck and wanted to know if we needed help...he had us on our way in 10 minutes...if he hadn't been driving by I hate to think how long I would have been stuck there,,,HE NEEDS A BIG RAISE....WONDERFUL EMPLOYEE...KIND AND HELPFULlisa H.
