The location is great, providers amazing. U-Haul itself is the problem. When you go a head and reserve a truck for three days for â€œlocalâ€ you get shown a picture of the newer Ford 650's. When I showed up I got an old GMC with 140000 miles on it, with so much damage to the body and headlight housings you couldn't even verify that every scratch and dent had a â€œXâ€ marking on it. Drove terrible. Really not satisfied that I paid near $400 to get something I wouldn't even expect my employees to drive. Surprised U-Haul even let's it have their name on the truck because if I saw someone driving it, it would turn me off from renting from U-Haul. Again, not the providers location's fault. The lady who helped me was awesome and they made it really easy. Shame on U-Haul for making people pay the same price for that truck.Jordan F.

The tow dolly was rented to us broken, causing our van to flip over the tow dolly. We had to call roadside assistance and it took us an extra week to get to our location due to constantly having to stop to put the front left tire strap back on. It also did damage to our van.Kelly P.

The app is very glitchy and I get kicked off. I had multiple reservations for the same day and the app wouldn't show them or give me any information on my reservation. Luckily the customer service for the 24 hr line was good and I was helped getting everything straightened out. Talking with 2 different U-Haul location owners this is a common issue. But the location owner I worked with was very good.Daniel T.

Nothing needs to be changed except to give the person working there a raise. 1.50 would be nice. The truck was clean but it looked like it needed to be retired on the outside only. The extra noise from the engine when it gets shut off, needs to be addressed.Connie R.

I wish they didn't have a stuffed dead moose head over the counter. If it was an antler from one who had died naturally that's one thing. But stuffed means they killed it. As a customer, I wish they didn't have things like that that can offend people, and turn people away.Brendon M.
Garantee rentals locations as advertice and provide discount if the customer have to change their plans or pick it up in a diferent location. I drove 3 hrs for pick up the trailer, even if the webside says guaranteed.Emmanuel M.

Upset I was told 57.99$ for a 1 day trailer rental from Wasilla location to Fairbanks. Then was charged ~130$ for a 3 day rental based on milage.Keegan N.
Clean vehicle between customers if it was not cleaned, do some maintenance to the vehicle. There was literally broken glass in the cab and food. All in all just terrible.Corbin T.

I did have some trouble with the check-in app. I was uploading a photo of a scratch on the side of the truck. The indicated uploading for over 10 minutes, which made me think it was stuck. I navigated back to the dashboard and it said I was checked in, but I had not gotten to the mileage/fuel photo yet. This comment is mostly just input for the app team.JUSTIN F.

The staff was very nice and helpful on the phone when we talked with them and warned that the parking lot was icy. It was a sheet of ice with no gravel for traction. Our car even started to slide sideways when we put it in park. Because there was not jack on the trailer, I had to jack the trailer up using our own jack on a very icy lot to get it off the car hitch. The location was closed on Saturday when we dropped it off, so there was no one available to help me.Bernard W.

The location was an ice sheet. I almost got the truck stuck because no one plowed or put down salt or grit. I And of course there is no service. No personnel was on staff and the self drop off technology did not work on my phone. I had to borrow a phone to check in on time. Also, I was given the wrong drop off by the clerk on Palmer. I was told to drop off at the uhaul on Trevitt. Pulled it up on my phone and followed instructions. Later I was called and told there was another drop off a half mile away, and I was charged and extra $50 or so with no explanation. Really disgusted with the lack of professionalism and atrocious service throughout this process.Scott G.

I had nothing but issues. My reservation was not linked to my account so I had to call anytime I needed assistance and the wait time is ridiculous!!! Also overcharged and now have a claim to get money back so I'm not ro happy right now. Also earned a free month storage unit and you DONT HAVE ANY in town I'm in but wouldn't give me any other perk to compensate! That perk was a 100.00 perk for me renting from you and no discount or nothing, not only that charged me for coverage I didn't ask for! Got no receipt either!Linda B.

Nice, and friendly people. Truck extremely dirty on the inside. Granted truck was just returned before I got it, but it looked like it hadn't been cleaned on the inside for months. Inside hasn't been wiped down for along time, seats super dirty, windshield super dirty, even crackers all over the dashboard!?!? Oil change light on, low washer fluid light on. Just not a great experience with the truck. People there did seem nice and helpful though.Sean M.

Filthy vehicle, severely cracked windshield, vehicle locked with keys in ignition, the facility phone number was disconnected, unable to call them I had to reach out to Anchorage to get the vehicle unlocked, which took 5 plus hours. Missed all appointments for dropping off supplies. Waste of time and money.Levi S.
The app is not the easiest to use. It would be better to be able to call and talk to a real person at any time with less of a wait. Overall it was fine. I did have to stand out side in 38 degree weather for an hour. That was unpleasant.Weston B.

Trailer wasn't swept off. Had about 6 inches of packed snow on the roof. Customer lock was still locking the compartment. Had to point it out and wait for it to be cut off. Tail lights covered in dirt. Rude and unprofessional staff. Very intrusive questioning even though I had reserved, prepaid, and checked in ahead of time online. I will gladly drive 20 miles out of my way in order to avoid using them again. I will not be doing business of any kind with them. It was a horrible waste of my time. I've rented a lot of uhaul equipment over the past decade. This is by far the worst location I've ever dealt with. I do not appreciate questions about where I work, who my boss is, and what his phone number is. My rental was personal, not commercial.Jason S.

Getting the unit was smooth. Otherwise leaving it in Florida was a nightmare. The drop-off spot we left it at never recorded getting it so I had to deal with several emails and texts. I feel uhaul needs to hold their ppl accountable for poor paperwork resulting in cases like mine.HAROLD S.

Don't make it a possibility for customer to back into a sandpit and get stuck. Then when it does happen you charge them an "after hours fee," a "cleaning fee," and the full rental because the customer didn't call roadside and spend their night waiting for it. When the vehicle was needed for less than an hour. Consider backing vehicles in so the customer just has to pull out like every rental car company, every other U-haul i've ever been too. Also, don't blame the customer for getting a vehicle stuck in your sandpit parking lot. Pretty convenient that there was 2x6's in the vicinity, one 2x6 screwed to another... typically used to get stuck vehicles out. i HIGHLY doubt this is the first time in 4.5 years this has happened. I drive by your location everyday. Since the rental date i have not seen the van parked in that location once. Shocking. WONDER WHY.Sean H.

I was scheduled to pick up the truck st 10 am on April 8 from R&R. When I arrived, there was a note on the door, stating they were only open a couple of hours per day, beginning at noon! This would not work for me, as I had already hired people to help me load. I went down the road and found a for rent business that was able to help me. I definitely would not recommend R&R.Diane J.

On line experience took way to long. There was even families in the lot trying to figure out what to do on their phones. It took an hour to check the truck out. It took us an hour to get the stuff out of the storage unit. Not user friendly. AND I did tell them I would be there between 9-10 am and they put noon in the computer so I could not get anywhere with the app....so I called the center and they suggested me going to Palmer, which was 20 miles away. When you have a working crew waiting, this does not fly! We wanted a picture of ours asses for your cargo pic, but decided we were too pissed off to expose ourselfs like that. This is crap! We had to also chip about 3 inches of ice and snow off of the rig, and it was so closely parked to another rig we thought we should fold inall if the mirrors! Your apps sucks.Karen D.
