The communication between uhaul and I was not very thorough. The paper i was given presented different information than the text messages i received from uhaul. also i was not informed i would receive text messages. There was missing equipment when i was set up as well, the tow dolly was also in a different location when i went to pick up.
Mason Bailey1. late being notified that the Car Carrier I thought was confirmed, was in fact NOT available unless I drove 30 miles to pick it up. Only option given to me was to use a Car Dolly. 2. Designated Drop Off location turned out to be useless, when I arrived to return the truck and dolly in Ridgefield Wa. Was a "storage only" location. 3. the feature on the truck for "engine breaking" was FABULOUS!!!!!!! I ended up in both driving rain and blowing snow over up & down mountain passes in southern Oregon amid heavy semi-truck traffic. Allowed a very stable, controlled, drive.

And my children's lives to put my car in neutral, which is a forward real drive. You should never do that. Because the car will roll forward. Everybody needs training there, including the GM who has no sympathy whatsoever and the Vice President was supposed to call me back 2 weeks ago I am still waiting for that return call his vacation was more important than my children's lives. I suggest you find any other company for your towing needs.Considering nobody there is trained fully

He called to tell me no worries or rush to bring truck back by 3:30 pm. The GM of this store is a kind amazing woman as well always goes above and beyond her job for all customers. I will never go anywhere else than UHaul for moving. Thank you guys.

Maribel GomezManager Alicia is absolutely the rudest customer service personnel I have ever had to deal with. Right from the moment I first called and was abruptly placed on hold without even being asked why I was calling. I called another time to inquire about changing my reservation. I could hear her yelling out from the background, “Don’t do it” “I will make sure he gets charged” in what sounded to be a threatening manner. I had planned to rent a car dolly after my trailer rental, but I’ve decided to never, ever use this location again. Hopefully I will never have to use u haul services again because this encounter with manager has left a bad taste in my mouth. Further more she should definitely consider employment in some other field that doesn’t involve customer care.

LINDA BELLIt was heavily crowded and no one seemed to know where they were going so I would not say it was inviting I guess it was clean I only saw the outside. Helpful?? No we had to guess where to go even though there were Uhaul employees standing around... I had to ask and then the guy said oh yeah we check it out here first. So no I would not recommend that location.

The associates were kind, helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating, and efficient. I would rent from here again and again, and will be a return customer should I need these services in the future.

When we went to move out the easy sliding door would not open- we had then to transfer all of our Storage items from one floor to the next floor in order to get out of the building with our items. This was very disappointing. No one was around to assist.

Don MacDonaldI reserved a truck and auto trailer 2 weeks prior. On the night before the reservation I was notified that no auto trailer was available anywhere in San Diego, Orange or Riverside County. When I picked up the truck there were 3-4 auto trailers on the lot. This was very, very misleading to take a reservation and then cancel the day before when Uhaul indeed had multiple auto trailers available. Not the fault of the Oceanside staff, they were very nice, this is a Uhaul corporate policy that is obviously intended to bait and switch customers into making a reservation for a truck and auto-trailer and then not telling them they won't be making an auto-trailer available until it is too late to for the customer to line up another vendor. It's not like there actually were no auto-trailers available, just that you wouldn't allow me to rent one. Uhaul should not accept reservations if they don't intend to have the equipment available with 90%+ confidence.

Dan EversoleI was surprised that I got charged an extra $20 because I turned the trailer in "after hours." Well, I rented the trailer at 8:30am on a Saturday and wanted to turn it in before getting charged for an extra day. However, the location didn't open until 9:00am Sunday. The daily rate is $18.95, so I paid more than an extra day,'s worth without getting an extra day of usage. No one mention an after hours turn in charge. To the contrary, they talk about how you can turn in equipment 24 hours a day.

Sara DahlThe actual requested trailer was not available. This seems to be an issue with Uhaul in general. The staff offered a substitute with a same pricing, and it worked out. In some cases, this may not have worked out.
Warren Scott2/9/24, First truck yesterday had the right front headlight out, 2 blocks away and had to bring it back and they have me a second GMC Box Trk. The second GMC Box truck, the check engine light was on when I got 2 block’s away, and I brought it back, they put a test reader on and it cleared the code. The next morning the engine lite was on again when I was 30 miles away and I kept driving because I was already loaded. The second GMC thr locking latch was very hard to get closed and locked after I was already loaded at night in the dark. Your Workers were very nice and helpful, however I lost about an hour and had to pay my employees the one hour each delay waiting for the truck I rented from UHAUL.

I reserved the wrong truck and she had one coming in so reserved it and called when it was back in their yard. I feel she went above and beyond! Also the gentleman that checked me in when the truck arrived was very kind and patient.

Today I showed up and was greeted by happy to help employees who truly understand how to treat their customers. One of the installers told me that they were able to save me money by using a different electric connector which was a huge bonus. Highly recommend this outfit for all your moving and Hitch needs.

Alicia TrejoI didn’t like the units. Having to haul my stuff up the ladder added a lot of work and made me not want to go there. I didn’t feel totally safe there, either. There were always a lot of homeless people going in and out. The staff was great. They were very helpful to me when I arrived.

Also, the 2nd level units had chicken wire as a ceiling which was weird to me. I feel like if someone wanted to, they could’ve fished things out of my unit undetected if they were motivated to do it. When initially purchasing the unit, I was told I couldn’t pre-pay for the 6-ish months that I planned to rent for but upon downloading the U-Haul app it became apparent that I could prepay for the upcoming months.
