Anjani STruck smelled awful. Visor was broken. Door handle felt like it could come off within the next few uses. I took a picture of the fuel level which was at what it needed to be returned at and I was going to get charged for fuel? But obviously you get what you pay for, basic moving equipment.

Von WThe staff purposely rerouted their phones during business hours to the central UHaul call center to avoid taking calls. It took two weeks, four phone calls, and several messages to the place just for them to acknowledge a move-out request. It took so long that another billing cycle was almost completed. I've never seen people try so hard not to work in my life. Absolutely shameful.

Deborah EI've had a better experience at another location which I would have used had they had what I needed. The process was not clearly explained. I didn't like having to provide a picture of myself and my DL. If your system gets hacked, then I'm exposed. I pointed out something underneath the truck I rented that was hanging down and the rep said he would make a note of it. When I returned the truck, a different rep removed it and said it had been there for weeks. I was give the total of the final invoice but it was not explained. The advertising sign that was in the front window was not removed so I had to store it behind the seat. There was trash in the bed of the truck. other than that, the truck seemed fairly clean.

Orlando MOriginally booked reservation for 24th st & McDowell Rd location. Went there to pickup and they told me they didn’t have the truck I reserved. I wasn’t sure if the individuals helping me even worked for Uhaul. Both younger males were on their own phones not paying any attention to anything else with hoodies on, there was no name badge or anything clueing me in on that they even work at Uhaul. I waited 10-15 minutes for them to figure out if there was a truck available to me and where I could go to find one. I heard the two individuals talking about not sending me to a third party dealer because I would get “fucked over”. I made a reservation for a reason. I do not have time to mess around or drive around town after I made a reservation for a specific time and my time is limited for what I needed it for. Not professional at all. I go to the other location, stark difference. Much better location, people are attentive and in uniform so I know who I am talking to. A few hours go by and I get a phone call from a female at the 24th st & McDowell location asking if I was going to pick up my truck or not. I explained the situation, no apology just an okay. If my reservation was at the original location the whole time why am I sent driving around town and making a 15 minute thing into an hour plus. Absolutely ridiculous. Customer service skills and competency is lacking in a major way. Get it together and earn your pay or find another job. Bummer that happened because every previous time with Uhaul I haven’t had an issue.
Aimee GI had made a round trip from Phoenix to Overgaard/Heber. The truck only had a quarter tank of gas. This was a dis service to me as I had to fill the truck up to take a long trip before I started, this should be the responsibility of UHaul staff. Now if I would have done this UHuah would have been charged for gas to fill it. I wonder if the previous renter was charged and the staff still did not fill it, for the next that was me. This left the next UHual in Heber/Overgaard to pass this laziness on to them. This was the third truck with the same expected poor service. In addition, my trip was one way, which they put it round trip back to Phoenix. I am renting my lady truck coming up. I sure would expect nothing less the poor service at best! If there was another competitor in Heber, I would use them instead!
Daniel KThe Location is great. The ability to book on line is very easy but you do not get the equipment ordered. I ordered 2 dollies and got 2 hand carts. That does not help when you are moving furniture But I got charged for them anyway. This Truck this time also had 150,000 miles on it.
Steven PI had my storage unit for over 8 years. During that time, I never accessed my unit because I had moved out of state within 2 weeks of renting my unit. The current manager was nice and didn't charge me for the current month because I was taking everything out, but I had to have it cleaned out that day. I greatly appreciate his gesture. I went to unlock my unit and found the key and combo I used didn't work. The staff said they couldn't cut the lock off because only a third party company did that at auctions. I had to go buy a bolt cutter and my son cut the lock off. Imagine my surprise when I opened my unit to see two locks that had been cut off laying on the ground inside the storage doors. They had cut off my lock sometime during the last 8+ years and never said anything to me. This is why I couldn't get the lock to open. The second lock cut off and lying on the ground was a UHaul lock. I understand if a renter is past due that their unit is in jeopardy of being auctioned and a customer's lock would be cut off at the time of auction. However, as my storage unit was outside (not climate controlled), there were additional places to add one of their locks to not allow me to access the unit until I paid late fees/rent that I owed. Cutting off my lock was completely unnecessary, and I should have been informed this happened. Unfortunately, after 8+ years, I can't be 100% certain if any of my items were taken until I go through everything, but it was clear my things had been moved and gone through. This is a huge betrayal of trust. One would think paying almost $20,000 of storage rent over 8+ years would guarantee my items would be safe and secure. I'm very disappointed and will not use them for any storage needs in the future.

Then I got a call while I was waiting for my rideshare to the other location, saying they were out of the vehicle I reserved. I had to pay an additional ~$10 to change the rideshare destination in order to account for uhauls mishap
Trenton GStaff stayed behind counter, truck clean, needed help to load supplies. Received so many calls where to pick up and drop off, they pick up did not know where to drop off, I just found a place in Overgaard. They were very helpful. They said next time take it to them, they would help. If I had a choice to use another company, I would but there would be no other company to drop off. I wish more help, better directions, safer drivers that work in the Indian School location

Ruben VWhile I gave an Average rate, I would have to say that several of my interaction were Poor. First, be sure that any customer that calls the store number can actually get through to the store. Being on hold and transferred four times before being hung up on is unacceptable. Make sure there isn't a padlock on the rollup door. Also, tell customers to verify mileage to what is on paper.

My camping trailer was being stored there and the people burglarized my trailer and broke my storage container. When I made management aware of this they were no help at all. I found it very disappointing that Uhaul didn’t want to help me with the situation. I will never do business with Uhaul again and will not recommend it to my family and friends.

I had to change my reservation after learning the only means of second floor access was via a stairwell. I had to pick something with drive up access so I could unload heavy items using a ramp and a hand truck. Recommend updating the website to display a 3D graphic showing main point of entry and vehicle or pedestrian access path to storage unit.

While I found the staff to be overall helpful there were a few instances that flat "no" could have been a "maybe". One such example was I arrived early at the facility to get some things out of my storage. This was about 20 minutes before the units were to open (unless you had 24 hour access which I did not). I was told no and had to wait. My only other concern is that I get charged for a lot of little extra things that my current storage offers for free. This is one of the reasons why I left. Value and economy. In times like this its very important.
