Great facility and helpful staff... found the app and direct access from the app to be a pain in the ass then had to put in the same information again when checking out.... I guess I saved $20 but messy - not the facilities fault

HORRIBLE!!! The woman at the counter when I picked up the truck was rude. I only rented the truck for 8 hours, even though I could have had it up to 24. I tried to extend the rental to 24 hours because one of my friends who was helping me had another commitment in the middle of the move and when I called they wanted to charge me another full day! They said that it could have been available for someone else on a mobile rental which was not possible as my return was after hours and I put the key in a slot, so no one was going to be able to drive it until they opened again in the morning. The gas was not completely full, slightly to the left of F, but I wasn't concerned as I was only going to drive it 15 miles. We put 3 gallons of gas in which put the needle to the RIGHT of F (more gas than when I picked it up), swept it out and dropped the keys. Imagine my surprise when I got the final bill and was charged with $20 "after hours drop off" (NOTHING on my rental agreement or what the rep said when I picked up the truck mentioned this AT ALL!!), a $25 "cleaning fee" (we only moved boxes and bins AND I swept it out before I left - it was cleaner than when I picked it up!!" AND $9.50 fuel charge! My final receipt says I returned it at one tick below F when it actually had more gas than when I picked it up!! Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the fuel level as I have NEVER had a problem with UHaul before. This is the ABSOLUTELY WORST UHaul location I have ever used!! (And I have moved a lot!) Run!! Do not rent here! There are 3 other locations within a couple mile radius. Use one of those!! Avoid this location at all costs!

I did not get to use this storage facility. The 26ft U-Haul truck that I rented could not access the last section of the storage facility due to an extremely tight corner and a parked trailer that obstructed the area. I was forced to rent a unit somewhere else. I was told I would be refunded for the unit but have not yet been refunded. Very unhappy with this storage facility and it’s management.

Truck had no gas was dirty inside I found marijuana paraphernalia in the cab. I had just flown in and taken a $65 taxi to the location and basically had no choice but to take it, about half way through my trip a service light came on. Terrible

First truck was low gas, dirty and very different form the pictures i was supposed to approve. Seemed sketchy. Check engine light on as well as wrench light. Wouldn’t accelerate correctly. Brought back for second truck, just a s dirty, low gas, and check engine light on. Third truck worked. Half tank of gas when Jntot it and when I brought it back, yet was still charged for gas!

Convenient location. Unfortunately they raised their prices frequently and unexpectedly, making the place unaffordable. Also, the roll up door to my storage unit was dented and poorly maintained, which made access to the unit very difficult. Despite my repeated inquiries to have the door repaired, the problem persisted throughout my rental period.

The rate increases for the unit were outrageous. Going back to Nov 2020 (as far back as I have record) they increased from $189/mo to $329/mo today. That's nearly 75% in 2 years! Ridiculous, and incredibly frustrating that the only notice I'd receive was a letter in the mail a few weeks before the new rate it. The latest was $300/mo to $329. Nearly a 10% increase!

I would never recommend this facility. I rented a spot for my camper...It was broken into 4 times, the last time my windows were broken out. They clearly do not check on the parking spots as they didn't even notice the camper had broken out windows!! Most of the time the automatic exit gates do not work and sometimes the gates are stuck open for days. For $95 a month for a parking spot, you can find a much more secure storage facility. Stay very far away.

They allowed somebody else to come and take my stuff out of my storage because he stole my key while I was going through a custody battle and they allowed him to take my things from my storage and put them in his storage without confirming with me that that was OK I only had his name under my contact number for if I was late they did not verify that and then they lock down on his storage for $1000 and told him he couldn’t get out till he paid $1000 which still courses me to almost lose all my stuff in a storage and they still try to fine me for $700 on an empty stores even though they already allow someone else to take my stuff out and keep sending me emails about what I owe they are fraudulent and thieves and dirty and rude and disrespectful and I would never ever in my entire life recommend them to anybody else .

My storage unit was occupied with mice which destroyed a majority of my belongings. The storage unit facility was NO help in the insurance policy process. The area manager was there the day of when I noticed my mice infestation and literally left a brand new staff member to deal with it. I Contacted the facility on several different occasions and was never able to talk to the manager nor would the manager give me a call back. When I did talk to the manager, she is a very unprofessional and unsympathetic individual that could not understand my point of view on the situation. I have done A LOT of business with U-Haul and I would like to again in the future, however, this is one business that I do NOT recommend. Logically, mice should be a problem at this location because it is surrounded by two massive construction sites. I also do not think the facility routinely does rodent prevention nor notifies customer this is a problem. If there is one unit infested then it makes sense that several units are infested. The facility also does not have a dumpster in which customers can get rid of their damaged belonging ultimately requiring them to haul off the items either by self or another company. The process of removing damaged items is VERY expensive. On top of all of this inconvenience and lack of sympathy, I was charged an extra month’s rent, removal fee from a hauling company, and I was never able to use the U-Haul vehicle I rented because I could not move out of the location initially because the storage unit had mice infestation. I also noticed that the manager does not understand the insurance policy. Insurance covers my ITEMS. Not my inconvenience fee that the storage facility caused: U-Haul that was never able to be used ($40) + extra month of storage ($195) + item removal service ($485). Therefore this place has caused more than $700 in damages to my wallet because of its uncleanliness and unprofessionalism. I have asked several times if I could get a free month’s rent for my inconvenience which is the LEAST this facility could do but the manager refuses in a quite unprofessional manner. This is a stand alone business I plan to NEVER work with nor recommend to any colleagues or my campus. I will still do business with U-Haul in the future but NEVER any independent business like this. I know U-Haul takes great pride in its professionalism and cleanliness because I am a regular. I have never had a bad experience with your store employees. However, this experience has been one of my worst in regards to the customer-service industry.

It took a long time to get my driver’s license processed and the lady at the desk did not have a manager to call for support. They gave us the truck very late and when we brought it back the lady would not open the door to receive it. They gave us an appliance dolly when we had requested a small one. We had also selected on the website to have movers help us carry things and there were no movers at this location. I’m sure the lady at the front desk was doing her best but maybe lacked some training.

The storage manager who has a white Land Rover is mat sociable is like discrinamation the storage was occupied for mor that four years never had light inside the storage the access road to the storage did not clean the snow the storage charge 10 by 10 super expensive start in March 175 dollars incredibly expensive .i found one the same size 10 by 10 for 120 dollars the storage address 8591 e 22 nd ave aurora co 80010 very expensive.

After taking control of my unit THREE MONTHS AGO and trying to charge me all three months. I am only JUST NOW getting confirmation that ive moved out of my unit. Absolute waste of money. The employees are beyond rude and don't care how many times you go in to resolve the issue of them stealing your money. They will look you in the face and say you were never there. Spend your money smarter.

Making a payment for the storage was a pain. The link to pay online didn’t work and they didn’t offer me the ability to auto pay. I tried to pay on a Saturday afternoon and they closed at 2 and couldn’t pay until Tuesday morning because of a holiday and caused me to pay a late fee. When I finally moved everything out, they couldn’t close me out because they shut down the system and then it took them 4 days to finally close me out of the system only after I called them back to confirm.

We had 2 units for over 12 years 16 and 43 It was a easy place to keep extra stuff. unit 16 had some leaks but all good other wise. Very helpful staff and we most have rented 5 trucks over the years. All the best dave

Worst experience of my life. Tried to include extra charges, charged my card a bunch of extra money, I had to call customer service and submit pics which I took to protect myself. They lied about gas levels, mileage, and drop off time. They charged my card 118$ the next day after drop off without even speaking to me. They wouldn’t come outside to look at truck upon drop off, wouldn’t explain anything and said to just call Uhaul customer support they couldn’t help me. Lazy, dishonest, rude, unhelpful, dirty, and not even busy. Literally no customers and only like 4 trucks. Do NOT go here, worst experience I have ever had. Luckily Uhaul caught them lying and sent me a refund. Complete SCAMMERS

I would NEVER recommend this storage facility to anyone! You’re better off leaving your property on a public sidewalk than paying this place to store it. The only saving grace for this facility was the young lady that helped me close out the storage unit. She was extremely polite, kind, and genuinely nice—that was actually shocking. Why? Keep reading. I had the unit for just short of 10 years. When I first got the unit, the owner set up the rental for me. He was extremely brash and rude: “You don’t pay on the 1st, I keep your stuff! You want to use the trash dumpster? It’s $15 or I keep your stuff!” Yeah, really nice guy … if you’re a masochist. He was the same way every time I had to visit the office over the years. The neighborhood around there is horrible, too. The first time I dropped my goods off at the unit, directly across the street from the office EMTs were carrying a woman out of her apartment who’d overdosed on drugs. Furthermore, a few years ago I tried to pay rent for the unit on the 1st of the month, but neither the app nor the web site were working, and no one was answering the UHaul corporate customer service line or online chat. By 8AM the next morning he left a snide voicemail saying he was going to seize my property and sell it! I immediately called back and left a not-so-nice message that it was HIS site and HIS app that weren’t working. To top it all off, the office manager called me 3 weeks ago to let me know there was a FIRE in the unit behind mine that I share a common wall with. But the fire dept popped the locks off my unit and several others on my aisle because they weren’t sure where the fire was. She needed me to come down to make sure my stuff was there and to put a new lock on it. Of course, all of my stuff had soot all over it and many items melted from heat in the other unit. I wasn’t that concerned since my insurance covered whatever was necessary. However, the office manager was extremely rude over the phone and still pretty rude when I went to put a new lock on it. In terms of security, anyone … and I do mean ANYone can crawl under the gates of this facility. Cameras or not, anyone can get in there and out before the cops arrive. But at least the fire and smoke killed all the mice.

Better signage or direction to return or park. Be more pleasant about explaining the return process. First location i have been to that expected you to do a self return online. It would have been nice to know that up front. Wasnt sure i did it completely as i did not get a receipt emailed until i inquired several days later. Recommend using a different drop off location.

I was advised that my van would be at a Denver location, then the night before it was updated to Aurora. When I was creating a reservation it said guarantee it would be at the location I booked it or I get $50 back. I called customer service and was denied the $50 with no reasonable explanation - the rep was also rude. I also spent 40 min messing around with my phone setting and on call with another rep to pick up my vehicle, because the already changed location didn’t open till 9. So I lost an hour or my moving time. Resolution - I would like to at a minimum get $50 credited back to my car following the promise of guarantee and the inconvenience it created

Everything about this experience was a mess. From the prices being different from what was listed online, the slopes in the aisles and especially at the exits causing my car to bottom out constantly, the gate being broken and no sign or only TINY signs to indicate that so I had to back up a long distance over weirdly angled pavement, to cancelling and being told I was supposed to give 30 days notice when the person who signed me up specifically said TO MY FACE that I could cancel up until the last day of the month and it would be just fine. The only good thing about this place is it was close to my house. Would not rent here again, given the choice.

I was charged an additional days rental because the truck was returned 42 minutes late. The woman at the facility Was rude as spoke to me as if I was a child she did not particularly like. I return the truck clean and undamaged, and still this insane woman charged me for an additional day for 42 minutes. The person why had the rental after me was not scheduled to be there yet and was not there. Overreaction appears to be the rule of the day a this place.

First all the verification to take the truck did not wok the first 4 or 5 times tried then after 30 mins of that and calling CS and finally getting the key the truck battery was completely dead, again another 30 min wait we decide to jump the truck with our personal car. Initially, I was told that the pick-up location had to install the trailer when picking up, which makes sense for safety reasons. However, they said they were not corporate and couldn't help me install the trailer. Eventually, one of the women did come and help me get the trailer hooked up so it worked out. However, I would suggest that accurate information is relayed to the customer from the start.

The App is not user friendly. There are several steps that can be done before arriving to the location. It took like 20 min to get approved by the system after I got there, to ended up walking into a store to request the car keys.

After being denied a request to refund the $30 fuel service charge by the regional manager, I spoke with uhaul corporate and they made things right to retain my business as a loyal customer. My company spends hundreds per year with uhaul and I was prepared to move our business to Penske but a friendly representative at the general customer service line did the right thing. Thank you!

My experience was so poor that I would like to request a refund. The truck bed was not only full of ice but also full of broken glass. Extremely dangerous and the staff did not care at all about it. My answer to the previous question (would you recommend this location to a friend) is really MAYBE. It took me quite a bit longer than it should have to obtain my rental. While the woman assisting me was very nice, she didn't seem to really know what she was doing. Since I had booked the rental online, I expected the interaction to take all of 5 minutes... it took at least 20.

I strongly feel if you are renting to someone that is coming in from out of state. Your facility should have someone to calll and check on appointments for rentals to double check the time and make sure they can get in and out without call a customer service agent or another store.. the app you have is not a good way to do business when people are in a hurry.. I had to call another store to ask for help with the payment method.. thank God he gave me his cell number to call if I needed assistance... Robert Strada turned a complete disaster into a peaceful and stressless day for me... He need a raise and needs to train employees how to go that extra mile.. I saw him treat 2 other customers like I would want my employees to do for my company.. This guy rocks he needs to be recognized for his hard work!! Thanks

The location was fine; the U-Haul app is the piece that is problematic. What would have taken 5 minutes with a staffed location took three times as long. The only thing that redeemed this experience was the work of Jeremy and Mia to make sure I had a truck and I could pick it up on my schedule.

Though I would recommend this location, my experience with UHaul wasn't a good one. I reserved a truck online. When I went to the location my email confirmation listed (the location I wanted) they weren't there. I had to wait over an hour and twenty minutes for someone to return. Then they didn't have a record of my reservation. Uhaul had sent the confirmation to another store. Luckily the woman at the Stapleton Storage place had a truck. This entire time I was paying movers to sit at my house. I ended up having movers for an additional hour that just sat around while I waited on the location to open. I also had wanted a smaller truck and ended up having to drive a larger truck through rush hour traffic (since things got pushed back an hour and a half). I am not sure if I will use Uhaul again.

The mobile app is horrible and doesn't work. Failed for both pick-up and drop off. Luckily the HUMAN working at this location was excellent and was able to get me moving. Please get rid of the app and instead spend the money on good employees.

She was trying to do a million things at once and gave my truck to the people in front of me, delaying the process even longer. This lost time made the move very stressful knowing I had to get the truck back in time or be charged an additional fee. I will not be going back to this location (Stapleton Storage)

it was good till I needed truck for 3 more days and they wanted another 120.00 bucks for 3 days that's when I found out that its 19.95 for truck and 20.00 per day for ins that my friends is crazy and that cost is so well hidden .nowhere in your contract is that info available and if it wasn't for district manager phone call I would have never found that out ether so keep that in mind the next time u rent a uhaul truck

The process was confusing. I signed up for one day and when I received my confirmation email it said my pickup was the following day. I also wanted to do an after hours pickup and the woman who worked at Stapleton Storage couldn't tell me what the process was other than to "just do it online". I could not take the chance that after hours pickup would not work so I came in before closing to pick it up. Because I was scheduled for after hours pickup she just gave me the lockbox code and told me to do the paperwork online. I went to do the paperwork after I got in the truck the website told me my paperwork to do that wouldn't be available until 6pm that night. When I went to check in at 6pm after I got home it said I couldn't do it because I wasn't at Stapleton Storage. The next day I got a call stating the reservation had been canceled. We ended up getting it figured out but... When I dropped it off the same woman who I worked with the previous day told me I just needed to drop off the key and that's it. When I told her I needed a receipt so I could could know what I was finally being charged and turn it in to my company she acted annoyed but got me a receipt. I see two issues that made this process rather unpleasant. One was the website is not very clear as to how the after hours pickup works. The second and most important was the woman who I dealt with was terrible. When I called she was obviously extremely annoyed. I called a few times and it was the same for each. When I got there she was still annoyed. Her attitude combined with the reservation made the experience terrible. I've rented from Uhaul before and the experience has always been great. In fact, the incorrect and confusing reservation issue would not have been such a big deal had the on-site customer service not been so terrible. Finally, I had two brief interactions with a couple other employees and they were fine. Thanks, Dean

Great customer service, fast service. The owners are very nice. Budget truck cancelled my truck at the last minute. This owner helped get me in a truck at the last minute and took stress off my shoulders. Uhaul trucks above the others.

Reservation was supposed to be 'self pick-up'. However, Stapleton Storage did not enter this correctly into the computer and we could not access our information or the key lock box for over 45 minutes. When hiring a moving company that charges by the hour, this was very frustrating and should have never happened.

I got there to pick up my trailer, and the lady behind the counter pulled up my file and the reservations wrong. I then pulled up my reservation of my phone she told me that she didn't know she had the trailer. After we sorted that out which is, which was a 20-minute process, she insisted to know what I was hauling in the trailer.

Well to start with I rented the truck for a couple days and told them I will return it a day earlier, she said that is fine I won't be charged for it. I returned the truck early like I told her before 9 like she spoke about and I was charged for 3 days. To top that off I called them about it and she told me sorry not her problem. Never using uhaul again. I tried to give them a chance after friends told me uhaul was this bad and not a good idea I didn't listen. Lesson learned. Don't waste your money people.
