Have someone actually be there to pick up the keys to tell them the truck need to have the frontend looked at the breaks are scary.

chris LWe had to drive to another town to get a 20’ truck when we were told a 27’ was reserved for us in our town. Then we paid extra mileage fees, never mind that we had to drive our own car both ways to pick it up. (Not to mention the gas) We were given a few extra miles but charged $200.00 for over mileage. That’s pretty unfair considering we missed our ferry, our hotel reservations and our hired help no longer available on the day we were told. What a fiasco. We went to the counter at drop off and were told there would be no further charge than what we were quoted. We stood in line, talked to the guy who looked it up, and he told us to our face it was “all okay” (I was complaining that the first guy in the lot said we owed a lot and to pay it) then now, days later, the extra fees were taken off my credit card. Be aware that when you give Uhaul your credit card, it is like a blank check to them and they will deduct from your credit card what they see fit. Even after telling you there would be no charge. Where’s my $200.00?
Carol PI travelled 1 3/4 hours to pick up trailer and back again. I checked and there was one 45 minutes away. 3.5 hours of my life I will never get back. Loaded trailer and drove 2 days; 1350 kms.
William NThe pick location was off-the-beaten path, but I needed that size vehicle and there was no better alternative. One front tire had a sidewall tear and before I could use it all 4 tires had to be replaced due to 1 tear and 3 others too worn for safe use. In addition my contract use period changed several times, by unknown computer glitches and only found out after my drop off location called me to inform me I was over-due.
John KWe rented a 4x8 trailer no one was there and person didn’t even know we were picking it up.Also said would fit a queen size bed,it did not.There was no option to get a bigger trailer as this was only size available on site.We we’re not able to bring whole queen size bed down to our child 15 hours away.

Brent IPicked up the unit in New Hazelton. It was clearly not cleaned at all. Cigarette ashes in the tray it wreaked of BO. I did try to call it in as this was a contactless pick up. So I spent 2 hours cleaning the unit before I took it. Pictures were also taken. My original reservation made 1 month prior was disregarded and given away with no notification. I found out by trying to make modifications to my reserved unit and trailer online and noticed the trailer was no longer on my order. So then I had to go to New Hazelton BC which was 2 hours from where I lived to get the size unit I needed. They were accommodating at first and then after I picked it up I couldn’t talk to anyone about the problems. Dropped off the unit in Langley. Argued with the guy tending to us. He was obsessing over the gas which I didn’t care about as we were Trying to talk to talk to him about the cleanliness. HIS EXACT WORDS “it’s not our problem”. Then proceeded to yell at me as I walked away “don’t be rude to employees” multiple times to get attention from others around trying to get me to react.
Tianna AEnsure that pick up time is correct so your not having to pay an extra day for nothing. I’m certainly not happy about that.

Katherine MMy reservation was for the Terrace location (Thornhill) but on incredibly short notice-6 PM the night before pick up - I was told that no trailer would be available for me and I would have to drive to new Hazelton. This added four hours of travel time to my day as well as $50 in gas and 260 km on my truck. I was not impressed. Once I arrived in new Hazelton I also was not able to acquire the package of moving blankets I had reserved. Upon calling for the same blankets in Thornhill I was advised the site was closed.
Suzanne CHaving to drive an extra 7 hours to pick up a truck is a bit extreme. It would be nice if uHaul were able to shuttle the vehicles to desired location.
Chelsea WI was very happy to find out that I could return the truck to the Hazelton location rather than driving all the way to Terrace and having to take a Greyhound back.
Glen GBetter communication between uhaul The guy didn't even know we were dropping off the truck. Luckily for us he was just locking up his gate.

BLANKA JReported problems with the tow/haul function of the transmission to the site manager. He indicated he had previously encountered this issue with the 20 foot vans. Location was not open at 10;00 a.m. Office was small and dirty.

NORMAN SMake sure there is available storage available with the deal ," when u rent a uhaul or trailer you can use a storage unit for a month-free. it should be based on availablility.
stuart lNo one was available for 10 days after we arrived. The unit was left parked outside the gates for several days. I am still not sure if the paperwork is complete although Amy from the nationl office was also helpful

SUZANNE FContacting this location was challenging, as he does not have regular service hours. There was nobody there when the trailer was dropped off, so confirmation was not received until weeks later.
MARK LBe open I wouldn't rent from uhaul again this was a horrible experience the mail box for the phone number was full so I couldn't even call to rent another uhaul even if I wanted to. The whole trip was over priced I was given a reservation pick up time after closing time of the location and had to call to set up a second reservation at a different location throwing off my whole move. I will not be using uhaul in the near or distant future
TYLER Mthe only complaint was that we had to go to Hazelton to pick up the truck.Everything else was perfect.
WAYNE SThe owner was out of town when we were to drop off trailers. Told us to drop them off outside of the gate and just leave them. We were not happy with that but took them into town. The gate was actually open so we dropped them off inside. We were leary of just leaving the trailers as he could make any claims he wished about the condition of the trailers and the time that they were returned.
Stephanie CThe drop off in New Hazelton was awesome. I phoned and he was so friendly and helpful. We had no problem what so ever. We also forgot our adapter on the trailer I phoned the uhaul outlet and he said he had it and was about to call us we live a ways away from the uhaul place he asked me where we lived and he said that he was coming out past our house the next day and would have no problem dropping it off at our door . You just can't beat that kind of service. I would recommend this drop off site to anyone in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for going above and beyond for us and making our first Uhaul rental experience so pleasant and easy.
DAVID NWays to improve..make sure you let the customer know what and where the NEAREST drop off location is. I DO NOT think it's fair to charge the customer a WRONG destination fee, if they were sent to a drop off location that was not in the destination town. Had I not driven by Bullwork Ent myself I wouldn't have known that I could drop it off there. I called the 1-800 uhaul number and talked to a guy and he told me I would NOT be charged ANY FEES for dropping it off in New Hazelton. THEREFORE I WILL NOT be paying the invoice that was just sent to me.
CHARLENE RThis location was unaware of my request for a u-haul, luckily they had the size I required. The office was un-accessible due to construction debris in front of the building. I had to get the office managers phone # from a neighbouring business. He did come down and rent me the u-haul trailer, however, since I had to call him and wait for his arrival, I was delayed in my move.
WINONA HHave personnel there during advertised hours when we drop off the vehicle, not sure what the purpose is to phone in when we are ready to drop off the vehicle if all they are going to do is give us the address that we already have. reason I wouldn't recommend is because I just dropped off the vehicle outside the fence.
