I didn't realize it did not come with dividers. If you purchase the kit I guess it would come with dividers and glass sleeves. However, this will do just fine because I still have my own packing material to protect glasses. For glassware, I would've thought the box would've been thicker maybe a little more heavy duty. I would not pack glass where in here, if traveling across the country.

If you are going to use Fed-Ex, make sure the driver is required to leave the delivery by the front door of an apartment, not the front door of an APARTMENT BUILDING. The delivery was made at 10 pm and if we had not seen it, anyone could have stolen the whole order. The FedEx driver was just plain lazy and refused to bring the delivery to the second floor where we live. He was extremely lucky that we came home after he left the boxes next to the front door of our APARTMENT BUILDING. He had the gall to take pictures and noted that he left the delivery next to our front door, failing to mention that it was the front door of an APARTMENT BUILDING, not our apartment. That was incorrect and completely unacceptable.

I have 26 o=place swtrtings (5 pieces each) of fine china, 26 service plates, 90 crystal glasses( wine, champagne and flute). How many and what kind of boxes do you recommend and what is the cost?

–Dorothy Salkin 8/17/2019 9:26:42 PM

Hi, Dorothy! For that many place settings, we recommend getting 4 of our Dish Saver Kits. Each Dish Saver Kit holds about 8 place settings. For the additional service plates, you will likely need another 4 Dish Saver Kits. For crystal glasses, we recommend our Glass Pack Kit - each of those has 18 cells for glasses, so for 90 glasses you would need 5 Glass Pack Kits. I always recommend purchasing an extra of each kit just in case, because you can always return whatever you don't need to your local U-Haul Center. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 8/20/2019 2:12:45 PM

–RG 4/28/2019 3:13:11 PM

Would this box be reccomended for packing up glass casserole and pie dishes? I have two 9" glass pie dishes and three glass casserole dishes ranging from 8x11"to 10x15"? And can I put them all in the same box or should I parse them out into multiple boxes?

–Susie 6/14/2018 12:40:17 PM

Hi, Susie! I recommend using a Dish Barrel® Box. Wrap each dish in plenty of Packing Paper and place some Cushion Foam sheets between each dish to properly separate them. Pack the largest, heaviest dishes first. Also, fill any empty space in the box with wadded up packing paper to keep the dishes from shifting and moving during transit. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 6/14/2018 2:03:44 PM

Do you sell any dish packing boxes that aren't as wide as this one (less than 24" wide)? I'm a small person, and one of these boxes if packed full is too heavy (and too wide) or me to carry down stairs.

–Beth 4/12/2018 1:25:34 PM

I need to pack 125 tea cups and saucers what would be the best and the economical way to do this ?

–Henry Van Wye 8/5/2017 3:35:06 PM

Hello, Henry! For the saucers, I would recommend packing each into a cushion foam pouch. For the tea cups, you could also use foam pouches, or you could wrap them in Enviro-Bubble®.

Once the items are properly protected, you could pack them into a Dish Barrel Box using the Cell Kit. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 8/9/2017 1:18:40 PM

How much r the dividers and foam kits?

–Rita 5/15/2016 8:16:33 AM

–Michael 3/20/2015 1:08:37 PM

The Dish Saver Kit that is used in conjunction with this box provides 32 foam pouches with a 5-piece divider which is mean to hold up to 8 place settings. Of the 32 pouches, 8 are for bowls, 8 are for saucers, 8 are for dinner plates and 8 are for salad plates. Thank you.
